Oh! baby, i'm rackin' my brain, to think of a name To give to this tune, so perry can croon And maybe old bing will give it a fling And that'll start everyone hummin' the thing The melody's dumb, repeat and repeat But if you can swing, it's got a good beat And that's the main thing, to make it complete 'Cause everyone's swingin' today So we call it opus one, it's not for sammy kaye, hey, hey, hey Opus one, it's got to swing, not sway, baby If mr. les brown can make it renowned And ray anthony could rock it for me There's never a doubt, you'll knock yourself out Whenever you get near opus one
@@sonjamoises5763 We had a baritone sax player in our high school dance band back in the fifties. I liked it then. I like it now. I like to hear stories about band members. Years ago, on youtube, there was a comment on a Stan Kenton video. It was from the daughter of bassist Eddie Safranski. Sometimes the actual band musicians make comments in the youtube comment section and I really enjoy the comments. BTW, what does Sonja Moises play?
Another great reason to go visit Germany! Would it be possible to schedule a trip where you could catch this great band and then the WDR plus maybe the SWR? Now that would be something!
Yes, exactly correct. This is what players, arrangers, composers hope will happen when they have a gig. Everything works and sometimes players find themselves playing better than they have ever played. It's pure joy.
I love the big sound!!
You guys are awesome.....
I have been elevated.
Wow!! those Thilo Wolf arrangements are far out. And then- the best Baritone Sax solo Ive heard followed by an amazing Trombone solo.
Sure do miss the big bands !!!
What a version that melodi!
São Paulo - Brasil !
Absolutely outstanding!!!!!!!
I certainly have admiration and appreciation for Thilo's bass player. He lays down a rock solid line.

My feet don't touch the ground anymore.
I feel like I'm the 40s!! Outstanding!!
It's always reminded me of American Bandstand, although there's no connection that I can find.
Mr Attenborough has excelled himself with Natural Curiosities.
Great music, great musicianship. I love it, please send more. Shalom.

There's something special about a baritone sax solo. I've always liked them; maybe my ears are tuned to the baritone reedy sound.
This is Norbert Emminger, a great Sax player and a very nice, kind person
