This dialogue hits so hard.. right in the chest.. :’) so beautiful.. to think people expressed their intent so beautifully back then.. something our generation today will never gain the good fortune of experiencing with the way the world is heading and all…

You said it exactly the way I wanted to say it but I probably wouldn't have said it like you did man! Beautifully said!!! I miss the 1960's decade even though I was only a child, but the life was so simple and different in many ways than now!!

i love this end...cause its sorta nostalgic (plus the great music) peter sellers in this movie is a lonely person n he found prolly a great moment in his life with that girl in that party..n it seems like she doesnt like him more than just plain friends..but he keeps up the hope...n he comes back to his lonely life...great movie with a great end!!!

You know i think she liked him more than friends, because of the way she spoke when parting - its like they set a date and you can tell she looks up to Hrundi
I think it was a play on peters relationship with women. He was not handsome but he managed to trigger that connection with beautiful women and married them. I think that was a lot more popular in our grandparents generation. In the age of tinder he would always be a left swipe sadly

I used to think this girl was so sweet when I was a 6 year old, and hoped to find someone like her when I got older. I later found the actress, Claudine Longet, shot her boyfriend dead while high on cocaine. The police bungled the case, and she was only found guilty of negligent homicide. Sometimes it sucks being an adult and losing that sense of innocence.

The car is a Morgan, two wheels at the front one at the back , so you didn't have to pay UK car tax at the times . I had one in the 50's . They still make handmade Morgan open sports cars - must sort after - but with four wheels! Typical 60's background music with a male chorus and stylized script . Brings back happy memories of the the era., They will never be a time like it. Antyone else remember those days?

You got it. Together with the 3 wheel Reliant and Robin that were mainly driven by elderly couples. Hard to believe. There was also a sporty one, I can;t remember the name, that was basically a motor bike with a chain driven transmission driving the back wheels on a car body.

Angelenos: The apartment building where Claudine Longet's character lives is @ 1427 N. Poinsetta Place, just south of the "Rock and Roll Ralph's" supermarket on Sunset Boulevard.

Halcyon -- It's nicknamed "Rock N' Roll Ralph's" because it is a Ralph's supermarket in a neighborhood filled with wannabe rock stars (not that there's anything wrong with that), and the world-famous Sunset Strip (think heavy metal bands & the nightclubs they want to become famous at) is just a few blocks down Sunset Boulevard. The Doors, Guns N' Roses, and many others started out at Sunset Strip nightclubs. In the 1990s, I saw Steven Tyler of Aerosmith standing in the express lane at Rock N' Roll Ralph's, buying 2 cartons of milk.
