Hey, Bob. The white line, red line on some enemies are elites and usually drop rare loot. You'll notice the red line is segmented. Each time a section of red line is removed the white line refills.
FYI: There's a Button at the bottom of the screen when looking at your Helmets and Space Suits that you can toggle to show your equiped Street Clothes when in town/air. Auto outfitter. So you are always wearing both, but showing one.....can even jet pack in Street Clothes!
@@SurvivalBobGaming There was one on the Deimos ship at 10:55 if you'd like to go back for it. (On the desk above the Digipick you picked up a few seconds later)
The best damage gun I've found was early on....looks like a Laser Rifle made by Apple: 2 rectangles made of grayish white plastic that does 100 damage. I call it the iKill 😆
You're probably recording Ep. 20, by now, but I have a couple of tips for this Bob. - Get the Ballistics and Lasers skill. Even if you prefer 1 over the other, they take so long to work up and make such a huge impact, you might as well get them early. How big an impact? For example, Lasers 4 makes the Cutter pretty much the nastiest weapon in the game. - You don't have a companion because you have to invite Vasco (or Sarah, or whoever). Vasco can be assigned to the Ship Crew in your Crew Screen (like another inventory screen). He will stand at the gangplank and guard the ship, when he is not your active companion. Don't know if he'd do it here, though. - The BGS DR Threshold calculation is pretty weighty in the early game. This makes single fire have much more blow-through damage. It evens out as you go, and full auto becomes as good, if not better. - Anything that staggers or stuns falls under EM Weapons in ground combat. This includes Explosive effects. There is a blue bar that shows up when you do a lot of EM damage. Fill the blue to knock out the target. There is a vendor in New Atlantis that sells a super weapon for EM damage. Think the Kneecapper effect from Fallout 4. The stats makes it seem not so great, but somethin in the Bethesda of the item makes the rifle stupid powerful.
When you were in the first ship after the eye, in the top left corner of the screen it said talk to Sarah. I think that's what the blue dot was on your HUD. Can't wait to see the next one.
I don't know if this is a big deal, but there are pamphlets laying around that give permanent stat increases to different skills. All the ones I found are 5% boosts. Ya find them on benches and desks
Pamphlets, Magazines, comic books, etc. There are also a lot of note tags (notes that give you a location or a whole quest, etc). Just like other BGS games, you just need to open and cycle through the pages.
Just thought I'd toss this in here for lols...I just had a random encounter with a ship asking about my ships extended warranty, and the sales pitch thereafter. And it's a long, exhaustive pitch.
Your gameplay is great! I don't know if my tv is not setup correctly (Sony Bravia) or my eyesight needs to adjust to the 30fps, but I'm having issues enjoying the visual performance on series x. However, I'm still addicted to the game!
another thing you can try in the Starfield pause menu, go to System, Settings, Display and turn Film Grain Intensity all the way down to zero to make the graphics more sharper and polished looking. Turning Motion Blur off also seems to help the visuals.
Bob, loving your vids, like usual. I bought the game, but for now can't get it to launch, says my video card doesn't meet minimum specification (rtx3070), contacted Bethesda but none of their recommendations worked. By the time I figure it out, I'll probably know the game inside & out watching you, Jason, Lucky Ghost, etc... ThanksI
I’ve done several runs and noticed a difference for sure especially on the NPCs. Some crates seem to always(3 times in a row) have something but it changes each time.

Oh dang! Thanks!
If you pick up the magazines you get permanent bonuses for health and carry capacity. There's one on the railing around the artifact in The Lodge.
Magazines or Books?
@@SurvivalBobGaming Magazines
They're usually flat on a surface....with drawings or color photo covers

That’s a Bob for ya. 😂

Brilliant vid Bob
Another great video surviving Bob
Thanks!
The Eye is a Mission, so they called you off...
Hey Bob!. This is just a friendly reminder to make sure you're wearing your space suit. You're welcome.
Thanks for that!

Thanks! I’m not sure about the TV set up. I did expect it to look crisper now that you mention it…

@@SurvivalBobGaming thanks, I got it looking good in the end. Turned all tv post processing off completely and it looks and plays much better now!

I’ve got a RTX 2080 Super so I’m playing it on Xbox. lol. Hope you get it working soon. Thanks for watching!
😆 I don't take any Companions with me....they Always get in the way.
BTW: did you give Vasco Ammo?
Eventually…the problem is I make him Cary everything then do take all and forget to put the ammo back.
Keep ‘em coming. 😂😂😂
I'm gonna wait just like I did with no man's sky. When they improve this game then I will buy it.
It’s pretty solid on Xbox.
I'm 26 hrs in on series x and not a single crash. As long as you have a compatible tv, the game looks and plays great
Because the loot is procedural, you don't know where you may or may never find that epic loot!
I’ve done several runs and noticed a difference for sure especially on the NPCs. Some crates seem to always(3 times in a row) have something but it changes each time.
can you play green hell do a hundred day challenge or something that would be cool
I don’t think I’ve tried that one. But, I’ll put it on my list. Hundred days vids take me about 3-5 weeks to record and edit depending on my schedule.
Potty Breaks...Nap Time...Pirating is Not What It Used To Be! 😉
Isn’t there a full automatic fire option for some of your weapons?
Yes. It burns through ammo and the muzzle rise is crazy. Hard for me to control.
