      Love it myself COCO NOelle! It was a one off - don't see it at the grocer often but when I do, I scoop it up!

    Great video n this gives flecibility to usre the arugila powder as n when required
    But one doubt is when heated( in the oven r in pan n then in mixie) thenutrients, vitamins will b lost
    can u estimate like to what % of nutrients will b lost so that i can compensate it by adding that many % in quantity?
    thanks n regds

      Hi Pradeep thanks for watching and commenting. I will pass on the estimation. I’m not an expert.

      If you keep the heat down you will lose next to no nutrients. You will need to store the end product out of any light though.
      Also the fresher the better!!

    I got a great buy on baby spinach once and made spinach powder the same way. I like adding it to soups and spaghetti sauces. Thanks for sharing!

    Hi my friend! Thank you for the informative video! Can you please let us know the fresh vs dry weight? For example a kg of plant becomes 60g powder??

    What did you use to dehydrate the arugula? Can you use an oven to dehydrate?

    • @allsorts4041
      @allsorts4041  2 месяца назад

      I used my dehydrator. I'm sure you could use the oven on the lowest temp. Thanks for watching and taking the time to ask 🙂

    Hello! I'm doing a similar process with london rocket, though it appears much of this flavor is lost. (It becomes bitter)
    Do you experience this problem as well?

    • @allsorts4041
      @allsorts4041  3 года назад +1

      Hello Cell Corp☺️ I have found the change in taste similar to what you are finding however I have never really given it a second thought because I really only add the powder to smoothies. Thanks for watching ☺️

    When you said you went back for a second box, I had to wonder (if this was a small market) what they thought about you going through so much arugula so quickly. LOL
    This would be a great way to store up some spinach too. Thank you for sharing.

    • @allsorts4041
      @allsorts4041  7 лет назад

      lol I'm sure they were wondering!! Or on an aside the last time Maxwell House coffee was on sale at my local, it said in the flyer that it was well over $5...so I went to buy a couple of tins and came out with 6 because it ended up being 4.98 instead. They must of wondered at that too!!

    I started growing some Arugula last fall in the greenhouse and he grew superfast and beautifully! BUT, even the little sprouts were very strong with the peppery flavor so I didn't grow any more. I assume it be even stronger in mature leaves?

    • @allsorts4041
      @allsorts4041  7 лет назад

      I think so...I grew it a few years ago and it was very peppery...I typically don't grow that sort of thing anymore because I find that where I am it bolts too quickly! :-)
