Is that right there is only one RDM funktion with all Changes. Is there not a solution, where the notes in the right skala keep it, without note from an other skala....you say something about an other RDM Func.?
Great video. I wish Donner would update their instruction manual. I wouldn't have known how to use these features without your video. Also people should know that the Donner B-1, doesn't come with the Usb-c to Usb-A lead needed to update the firmware. They only cost a fiver or so, but are necessary. I'm having loads of fun with this bit of kit as a newcomer to the word of synths. Next purchase will hopefully be a Arturia Microfreak!
Exactly Colin, but with loads more control and a lot easier to program. I also have a video planned to show you how to connect it to the iPad via USB, when you do this you can have AUM control the B1s clock and have the B1 play any other synth, or have something like Riffler, ZOA or Riffer play the B1, and use the B1 as a midi controller too, it’s very versatile and fun👍😊
They changed the name after I received my unit, other than that there is no difference, in fact, if you look at the title of the video I also call it the Essential B1 and refer to it as the Essential in the video.
They need to update the envelope. Last time I checked it was stuck on retrigger and as a result slides would retrigger notes after a slide whether you want it to or not. That lil problem makes me feel content with my TD-3 even though it is glitchy.
I'm sure you've gotten your answer, but for those reading who might still have that question: This was fixed in a firmware update. I'm not sure which, 1.0.x or 1.1.0, but it HAS been corrected.
Thanks for the help with the update. I have a quick question. Can you have more than one song saved at a time. It seems that I can't figure that out. Like say I have a song saved in the Slot one. How do I go to slot 2 and make a new song? thanks~
Hi Maria no, you can’t have more than one song saved at the same time, in Song Mode, the bottom 16 notes become slots, each slot can hold pattern and tempo info, but you can’t save multiple versions of that.
dude, are you doing this tutorial with the update? i cant seem to be able to clear a pattern to start my own. 😩 cant install the app on my ipad so having to wait on my buddy bringing his windows laptop to install the update 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

I got this a couple of days ago and I honestly think its the best bass synth out there and it was only £89 from Amazon ✌️
I just got one and like it so much that I bought a second one so I can have simultaneous live bass and melody lines.
The full sized midi out allows you to control other synths with it's great little performance sequence r. The B1 + Dreadbox Typhon = Absolute Magic!
I had been quite disappointed when I bought this one but your video changed all that. You are such a phenomenal musician, tutor and enthusiast!

Cool stuff man. Can you use slide, rachet and accent while playing lines by yourself or with the arp and not in sequence mode?
No, they have to be applied afterwards to the sequence👍

I bought a Donner Essential B1 and mine says Donner Essential B1 where it says Donner Syn Bass on your model. I wonder why the text is different.
