great relaxing gameplay. also, very good editing skills. looking forward to see more. Also, your voice is so relaxing to hear. Almost a professional voice acting one. this game is so much more then I imagined.
Excellent video again ! An item I noted since this week's update, just in case you missed it : stone (and salt as well) now also has noxious crust when mined with the miasmic pickaxe, which can help for base expansion Another point : the creature deterrant is not 100% nasties-proof : I had a crocodile tearing apart my moas 10 meters from it just as I came back to my base...As I understand it, it only reduces the risk of nasties
Always stoked to see a new icarus video. I dont play video games myself but i love watching other people play. But the problem i run into is people start a new series with no knowledge of the game so i always have to watch them struggle through the beginning and it turns me away from the series. Thats the reason i love this series so much. I get to see a new series from the very beginning but you have so much knowledge of the game already so i dont have to watch you learn the game. Keep the episodes coming and i promise ill keep watching
Nice video and relating the thought process. On my first character and Olympus open world and the tip on the order in which the furnace smelts is golden. Thanks.
I would like to see the other creature you can tame other than Moa's that would be cool to see. anyway, another good one looking forward to the next one.
I pretty much have a fire going with wood in there at all times. Also, whenever lightning strikes a tree it makes a charcoal tree that you can chop for a good amount.
Controversial yes, upset, me no. Like I said in my other comments, I’ll say when I think things are a waste. But as I always say, play how you want, just cause I like to optimize, at the level below needing spread sheets, I just optimize as best I can. While thinking and not writing it down. Doesn’t mean that’s good or right for everyone. And well the fridge is a total waste. You just the deep freeze/do the fishing missions too. As gives you Crete that doesn’t need power. Doesn’t get ice. Never runs out and preserves all foods, amd fruit muffin…ehh, not bad. But so limited. My comment on another vid. Gives the best/widest range of buffs when you rock 4 food buffs, I can definitely see the vegetarian perk helping what I mentioned. But will go against the Shepard roll, why, I didn’t get it, when I could go for raw damage. Or stamina or health. I have low amount of points into those. As much as can. While mostly maxing out bow. Mining stuff. Farming stuff as much as I needed to get the 4 food slots and no crop spoiling. I have a good. All around character, that’s focused more towards bows and mining/farming. To me. The most well balanced type to have. As top tier, amazing food and power/benches. Weapons are very expensive to make and maintain. And no shepards roll is better, far better, when paired with the fruit and veggie pie and roast veggies, get all the same type of buffs. Overlapping. Smaller in amount per buff at times. But more of them. For a higher total, and more type of buffs, that help in almost all ways. Even more than the ones you said. Without needing the vegetarian or carnivore buff. Those foods give the most types, and amounts of buffs that cover ranged and melee, stamina. Xp, health. Stamina consumed by actions, stamina and health regen. Tool speed, etc and many more. With out needing to waste valuable points that are limited. So anyone new/mid level. Try what I and others recommend, including him. And see what works best for you. I’m guessing for most will be some mix of me. Him and what other veteran players recommend. I play solo. As I don’t know anyone, anymore that really plays games, that can be counted on. Cause of life. Or vastly different work schedules. And all my solo points are either damage. Low amounts into that. Othersbinto stamina and health. Movement speed and the limited mining stuff. I only have at best about half, maybe 2/3 the movement speed buffs in total. And those 4 foods I mentioned, I can out run anything but a MOA, and the entire length of Styx, which is super long, I can and do out run MOA when solo as my stamina lasts over 4 times as long, and sprint like 2/3 their speeds d my stamina regen’s faster, get faster than any mount. With the best food you can give them. Which is super expensive to make, I farm a lot. Have fun getting enough seeds to feed one of each mount, and keep their stamina maxed out. If you can. You have a bigger farm. And do nothing but farm 99% of the time. As I can’t. I have a 5x19 green house with all iron crop plots. All feed off my water network. And use the max yield fertilizer, replant every 3-5 harvests. And I can’t get enough seeds to constantly feed all 3 mounts. To keep their buffs maxed out, so have fun trying to do that and by keeping their huff max, I mean, keeping all 3 of their buffs at max, at any given time, so I can just grab and use them. Without needing to do anything different as in they are fully fed. Woth the only food that can give them a boost. And I use all titanium tools, guess I need to go with all the hydroponics plots apparently to even have a chance. Which is even more stupidly expensive than the iron plots, which are stupidly expensive, oh and the that fact that he says he doesn’t need to turn bones into epoxy, just shows he never made a greenhouse. Filled with iron crop plots. And runs composite armor, compound how, composite bows and max’s out every resource that you can, to always be above what you need, no matter what. I have 10 of the large batteries. 6 of the metal rain collectors, 4 pumps, 4 water barrels connected, 24 water wheels, 32 wind turbines and 12 solar panels up, all to keep everything running. No matter what. No matter how the long mission or far away I am on Styx. So I can be gone for days and days and everything stays up and running, nothing goes bad, I don’t loose valuable resources, I always hated I could only be gone about 3 game days max, and even then I’d lose rare and valuable food, only a couple. But I would .now, I store a stupid amount of power and water. -‘s still gain some. No matter what, for basically ever. Can be gone from my main base for a week in game and not lose any food, is great. So, my general model isn’t bad to go off of, you won’t go wrong, may not be your thing. But will work. So then just take what you like of what I do, and apply to to what you like, and boom, a good play style for you.
I agree that the refrigerator isn't the best, I'll be sticking to deep freeze for the time being. The fruit muffin specifically I think is the best for when you aren't level 60 yet, that huge XP buff can't be underestimated. After that it's basically just a stamina food, but a very powerful one. I like going with the savory roll/muffin combo because they're super cheap to craft (minus the wheat) and balance out their HP/stamina buffs well just as a generic buff. For the animal feed, the next major update will be focused on animals so hopefully there will be more options to keep our animals fed/buffed in the future. The seed cost can definitely get ridiculous. This time around I'm planning on trying to go focused on the shotgun since i think it is awesome, so my offense points will be going towards that. Composite/Obsidian armors are a must for me too, and will be getting some good attachments for everything in the coming episodes. Thank you for the explanation of your strategy, it definitely seems solid!
Love the videos. It does pain me to see you keep using basic pickaxes to mine Titanium (or any ore for that matter) when you have access to Miasmic Pickaxe. One stack of Prime meat should offset most of the damage from the Miasmic ores, totally worth it.
those animals are seeing your mounts through the window and gather around
Another excellent episode, much obliged 👌
Love your videos. The editing is amazing. Thanks for the hard work. Keep them coming. 😉
Thanks so much!! More is on the way 👍
I like sane tubers that doesn't scream.
😆 thank you!
great relaxing gameplay. also, very good editing skills. looking forward to see more. Also, your voice is so relaxing to hear. Almost a professional voice acting one.
this game is so much more then I imagined.
Thank you! That's very nice to hear. And yes Icarus is a great game!
nice hair broski
Always cool to see youtubers getting more recognition.
Thank you so much!
Loving the videos. Keep em coming.
Thank you! There is more to come
You could always put a stone pillar in the cave entrance to stop outside predators from getting to your mount.
Ah, true! Or a ramp could work. If they're deep enough in, they usually don't draw aggro.
Thanks for this series
Glad you enjoy it!

Ohh yes that will be fantastic. The episodes come out with a couple days delay but when I record the next one I will absolutely be using that.

I'm glad you're enjoying it! I'm trying to be informative & showcase how I'd recommend progressing.
again, man - your content is amazing. Love seeing you tame Icarus! You make it look very easy.
Haha glad to hear you’re enjoying it. It was definitely a struggle when I first started playing
Thanks for this series. Enjoyed every vid so far and they talked me into purchasing the game. It’s fun.
Awesome! I hope you enjoy it, it's a ton of fun.
Nice video and relating the thought process. On my first character and Olympus open world and the tip on the order in which the furnace smelts is golden. Thanks.
Ohh Nice, glad it helps!
i havent seen one polar bear in all your vids!
😆 True... just those cubs. Maybe we take a visit to the deep arctic soon
Water 💧 connection to biofuel speeds it up...
I like that they added the biofuel water pump. I have the water borer in mind!
I would like to see the other creature you can tame other than Moa's that would be cool to see.
anyway, another good one looking forward to the next one.
I do end up picking up a new friend in the next one.. but it can’t be ridden yet 🥲
I definitely recommend using the miasmic pickaxe on exotics. Exotics also get their own noxious crust that you can drop in your cleanser.
Wow I actually didn't know that. I'll definitely be using miasmic on exotics now.
@@dannyrothko Definitely worth it : 96 exos with each cave exotics node (16 +5x16 from noxious crust)
@@zeferbyit’s like getting half of a fully extracted exotics deposit. So good!
Finally the creature deterrent came to life! haha
Finally!!!!
good videos I love it. but dude did you really pointed your solar panels to north instead of south? :)
😆 Thank you!
Every other day I look forward to your videos! Will you ever do Live videos? Either way, just curious.
Thank you! Hm, honestly I'm not sure. I don't think I can really do it with my current setup but maybe some time in the future.
where do you get your charcoal? i’ve fully run out and i’m at the exact same stage you are
I pretty much have a fire going with wood in there at all times. Also, whenever lightning strikes a tree it makes a charcoal tree that you can chop for a good amount.
I spent an hour last night looking for cocoa before googling and finding out it’s only in the lava biome 😔
😆it's rough out there on prometheus
You should consider improving your doors. Stronger doors should also increase your security a bit.
Yes definitely, I like the reinforced wooden doors

Do you not have access to your 2 "free" solar panels you got early on in this playthrough?
That solar panel quest is only available on Olympus unfortunately, and you can't take any items other than workshop gear to different maps.
