Can we just bring Bill Busch back for special teams already?! At this level of college football special teams should be decent on any team. Cover and make sure your kickers can hit inside 35 minimum. Nebraska seems to just neglect special teams and it shows
Again I say it's year two year two folks. We probably don't win that last year or the decade before? Two more wins gets us bowl eligible thats the goal for this season. Have to keep cleaning up the penalties and need a bunch of work on special teams.

I agree with Rhule. This was a close game. We gutted it out. Overcame tons of terrible calls. Flipped that by forcing a bunch of PIs.i think this is a clue of how we need to proceed. But special teams need to step up! Nice win though.
This game was a flag fest. We need a snapper and a kicker who can put it thru uprights. A big leg in practice is not transferring to real game. Is there a hatred for Nebraska at the B1G office for officials we’ve had at least 3 TDs taken off the board by officiating.
Timing. No leg can make a kick when snapper misses the holder, and holder can't get it teed up in time. 3 people to make things perfect. It's not always the kicker. Today, it was snapper twice.
Bad refereeing across all of college football, not just NE games. Each conference manages their own refs. NCAA needs to manage for consistent hiring & training of refs like NFL.
Im so proud i found a LGBTQ friendly youtube channel! Loved meeting you at the pride parade and the afterparty last week, bud! Keep doing you! Slayyyyy!!!

It was a good game to watch. Do wish Nebraska would have done better in the first half. Not sure if those watching on TV could see but it kept spitting rain on us at the game. Then in 2nd half the sun came out. (Then started raining again right after the game) I think we all (fans and players) got hyped when they called the penalty against Matt Rhule.
Keep growing mentally. Have patience with yourself grind it out. Follow your great freshman quarterback and play the game. Cut the hype. Listen to your coaches and communicate with each other
Really interesting that things reversed this game, instead of good first half, not so good second half, we have a bad first have and pretty darn good second half. We are half way there to where we need to be for a successful season. I was expecting the worst this game but was pleasantly surprised by our second half execution, needed to see that.
I feel like first half we were tired and fatigued, but we woke up first (thank god) special teams abysmal as usual in recent memory. Our defence held us in there the whole game made sure it was close. 2nd half showed what we are made of. GBR
We got the win. They definitely need to run some laps for all those freaking penalties 😑🙄. If we could play like we did in the fourth for a whole game we're good.
Dowdell is not starting material. He jumps over the pile way too much, losing all that “power” advantage in churning your legs like a big back should. Looking too much like Deharran Dedrick jumping from behind the line of scrimmage. If you think he should be the starter you must be CU’s running game coordinator. GBR!! Feed Emmett Johnson= win
All we need is for Tristen to get healthy quick. He’s got a tremendous leg maybe kicking a 50+ field goal,to win a game, will bring his confidence back. Matt Rhule won’t put him out there until he’s completely healthy.
@@williamadair1874 I agree. The snapper , holder, and kicker must be in sync a smooth delicate balance that has to be automatic. We’re in no way there yet. GBR

Something needs to be done about the refs in college football. Questionable calls and non-calls against teams every week are affecting the outcome of games. With all the money floating around in this sport, I don't understand why they don't create an organization with permanently hired refs with training and evaluation to get the best folks. What ate your thoughts?
The LAST thing a hucker fan should want is fair calls in a game. That NE o-line holds like crazy on almost every temu-homes drop back, But RARELY get called for it.
There is 2 much money so much money in fact that corruption by bookies refs and even the conferences and even the nil has shown what Osborne said all along it will destroy college football and it's easy to see that's what has happened
Need more lead block plays period, quit bouncing out for the gamble big play and start to get the guaranteed 2-3 consistently mixing up the sideline toe runs 1 out of 5 or 6 run plays. Dylan needs to run it once in every 2 quarters of play to make defenses account for his legs.
Happy yes! This was a trashy game for almost a whole 3 quarters! Tony White’s stock is almost rock bottom. That style of defense is bad, and easy to counter it. These boys need to pay attention in practice and learn again how to tackle! Tackling one of the most basic technique we all learned in peewee football. Dylan, he looked like a freshman most of the game. Our kicking game atrocious . Man we should be a lot further than this! The penalties were ridiculous. The referee’s were not that good at all on both teams.
Maybe Dylan looked like a freshman because he is one! Not rocket science. I hope you never make a mistake in your life! Do you take away your kids' shoes if they can't learn to tie them in one chance? Yet you expect Dylan to be perfect. Get real, man.
D bounced back and we needed that. Now what is our OC gonna diagram up to beat Rutgers for Homecoming? Yeah Rutgers. Believe only Big10 team to never beat us. Hey 86,000, how bout we play up to the CU performance and see if the team follows suit?
Why doesn't Coach Rhule ask the University of Nebraska student body to try out for a Field Goal kicker? There has to be one or two in that group. The current FG kicker leaves a lot to be desired.
1) Hope so but find know. Shouldn't treasure any team for granted, but it shouldn't have taken that long to score. As we have learned we are not a very good team in the field yet. 2) Don't want to see a field goal attempt until they can fix the snap and have the kicker only kicking straight on. 3) Hope so but I hate living on Hope. We've done that for too many years, and it gets tiring when Hope turns to disappointment.
1. We have the worst special teams in the country. 2. Against Any other team in the BIG 10 that second half effort would have been too little too late. 3. We haven't played a full 4 quarters yet this entire year. 4. The black shirts are about 1/3 of their hype and expectations.

We might as well go for it on 4th down till Alvano is back. Not crazy how the oline is protecting Raiola. I feel like it is not allowing the play calling to go all out and let Raiola have 400 yard passing games.

Gottula did a nice job at LT. Running game took too long to get going, but the Strength and Conditioning program we heard so much about is bearing fruit. Huskers ARE the more physical team in the 4th quarter.
Can we just bring Bill Busch back for special teams already?! At this level of college football special teams should be decent on any team. Cover and make sure your kickers can hit inside 35 minimum. Nebraska seems to just neglect special teams and it shows
First punt: guy covering goal line runs by it to back of end zone. JFC
Again I say it's year two year two folks. We probably don't win that last year or the decade before? Two more wins gets us bowl eligible thats the goal for this season. Have to keep cleaning up the penalties and need a bunch of work on special teams.
Bench the kicking unit and go for it on 4th in the redzone
Yes, but it depends on the situation, field position, score, etc.
@@garymorris1856 loved meeting you at the pride parade 🌈! We had so much fun together! Let's do it again, love u buddy
@@FlexYourFreedoms Not funny, were you in a dress and high heels?
Win is a win! Big 10 only gets tougher. Glad to see a positive response in the second half. Going forward, I hope we can come out fast and go 4 quarters. GBR!GBR! Throw the bones
I agree, I am pleased with the win, some of the people on this forum are much too negative.
Special teams and penalties are still a problem. Yes a ugly win and Black Shirts and a freshman quarterback are carrying the team.
Give the receivers the credit they deserve. There were so many wide open receivers to choose from.
Adam you HAVE to make a shirt with Rhule saying “I’m fighting for Nebraska” aka what he said post game press conference! 🙌
Our special teams unit should be called The Wonder blunders until they get they're stuff together!
What is wrong with field goal squad? Come on!
Snapper mostly. Both horrible
How do you win one score games? You turn them into two-score games. Leave nothing to chance or to the refs.
That works for me.
TV crew misquoted our total defense stat (286.8 ypg) and quoted our total offense stat (402.3 ypg) pre-Purdue game.
I noticed that too 😅
First game that I’ve been to in 13 years. Missed the atmosphere so much. GBR!
Huh? You missed the atmosphere of a Purdue home game? Buddy we need to get you to a Husker home game
@@HuskerPower97haven’t been to a home game in 20 years. I was just talking about a husker game in general. Haven’t been to a game since 2011 against Wyoming. That’s what I missed. I would kill to go to a home game. BUT I live in Tennessee
Officiating in general is just really poor all over. I say just let the kids play!
Bad refereeing across all of college football, not just NE games. Each conference manages their own refs. NCAA needs to manage for consistent hiring & training of refs like NFL.
Right? The Minnesota game was the exact same. Even the broadcasters were like WTF is up with these refs?
The refs were much today than the last 3 games!!!
The NFL refs are just as bad. I think we need to play without them altogether at this point
Im so proud i found a LGBTQ friendly youtube channel! Loved meeting you at the pride parade and the afterparty last week, bud! Keep doing you! Slayyyyy!!!
What does this comment have to do with sports? Absolutely nothing. Most channels don't mention gender, orientation, or otherwise, so does that not make them friendly as well?🧐
Adam,
It wasn't the kickers fault with the low snaps from the center 😮
How is the documentary called “Chasing 3” yet we don’t have a single player who can get us 3?
Sadly ironic 😅😢
🧐
It was a good game to watch. Do wish Nebraska would have done better in the first half.
Not sure if those watching on TV could see but it kept spitting rain on us at the game. Then in 2nd half the sun came out. (Then started raining again right after the game)
I think we all (fans and players) got hyped when they called the penalty against Matt Rhule.
GBR
Next 2 bigtime games, yes Rutgers and Indiana are 4 real folks !! Don't count them as W's for sure.... D
That offensive PI was total BS!
So was the one called on them
@@bruceeigsti5274 The one called on them even the announcers agreed with that call.
@bruceeigsti5274 the one on fidone was absolutely pathetic and a terrible call that the refs should be penalized for
Who is "them"? @@bruceeigsti5274
Rutgers is up next, we'll see.
2 undefeated teams we play in a row. Undefeated Rutgers and a pretty damn good indiana team
We got the win. They definitely need to run some laps for all those freaking penalties 😑🙄. If we could play like we did in the fourth for a whole game we're good.
I love the shirt! Where can it be found?
GO BIG RED!!!
Looks like the Huskers has learned how to win.
I don't understand how special teams can be soooo consistently bad every year for what, 6-8 years now?
Give Buscini a blackshirt. He was a stud out there today.
Raiola passing stats on the season 1211 passing yards, 9 touchdowns, 2 interceptions.
Rhule looks totally confused each game
I have no idea where you are getting this, perhaps it is you who is "confused."
@@garymorris1856 AGREE!!!
Thank you
We are a better team than than last year, but apparently, it is still a work in progress.
Special teams are in deep shit
All we need is for Tristen to get healthy quick. He’s got a tremendous leg maybe kicking a 50+ field goal,to win a game, will bring his confidence back. Matt Rhule won’t put him out there until he’s completely healthy.
@@williamadair1874 I agree. The snapper , holder, and kicker must be in sync a smooth delicate balance that has to be automatic. We’re in no way there yet. GBR
Ok..answer to question #1.. I like the fact they did wake up.. #2. There is plenty of room for improvement..and it’s starting to show.. we are improving..#3. The special team ..the field team..what’s with the block field goals 😳😳😳 that has to greatly improve …Nebraska woke up on the road to win..that’s all that counts..throw the bones..☠️☠️🏈🏈🏈
Love that t-shirt...
I know it's a couple weeks away, but Indiana is definitely not to be taken lightly
No BIG10 games should be taken lightly… EVER!!!
GBR!!!
Or Rutgers
Something needs to be done about the refs in college football. Questionable calls and non-calls against teams every week are affecting the outcome of games. With all the money floating around in this sport, I don't understand why they don't create an organization with permanently hired refs with training and evaluation to get the best folks. What ate your thoughts?
Something surely needs to be done it's very frustrating to not get explanations on these ridiculous calls.
Good excuse for very shitty play!
I just want Nebraska to add FB dive to the playbook.
This is pretty much how i felt. The first half was so painful and some of the worst college football I have seen.
Anything good to say? Jesus lol. 9-3
Maybe Dylan looked like a freshman because he is one! Not rocket science. I hope you never make a mistake in your life! Do you take away your kids' shoes if they can't learn to tie them in one chance? Yet you expect Dylan to be perfect. Get real, man.
We had 11 hats in the box in the past! Call Dr. Tom!!!
Hopefully we get 6 wins
D bounced back and we needed that. Now what is our OC gonna diagram up to beat Rutgers for Homecoming? Yeah Rutgers. Believe only Big10 team to never beat us. Hey 86,000, how bout we play up to the CU performance and see if the team follows suit?
We have a LOT to fix before next game!
Why doesn't Coach Rhule ask the University of Nebraska student body to try out for a Field Goal kicker? There has to be one or two in that group. The current FG kicker leaves a lot to be desired.
I think the biggest concern is snapper.
Adam, i love your t-shirt, where can i get one?
Carriker still has the most balanced and accurate take in my opinion.
I'll say this, we actually scored in the 2nd half
1) Hope so but find know. Shouldn't treasure any team for granted, but it shouldn't have taken that long to score. As we have learned we are not a very good team in the field yet.
2) Don't want to see a field goal attempt until they can fix the snap and have the kicker only kicking straight on.
3) Hope so but I hate living on Hope. We've done that for too many years, and it gets tiring when Hope turns to disappointment.
Is there something wrong with Raiolas arm? Deep routes he has been throwing them short where receiver must have to slow down
He also threw a few too long!!! But he was under pressure from the defense.
No more field goals. Go for it
1. We have the worst special teams in the country.
2. Against Any other team in the BIG 10 that second half effort would have been too little too late.
3. We haven't played a full 4 quarters yet this entire year.
4. The black shirts are about 1/3 of their hype and expectations.
I absolutely hate it when someone numbers their comments, it is arrogant and stupid, No one needs you to number what you have to say in order to understand it.

2. That’s a bizarre pet peeve.
3. I answered that way because he asked the viewers some final questions in numbered way. I was simply responding to the dialogue that Adam initiated in a like manner.
4. Do you realize how ironic it is to call me arrogant and stupid in this context? It takes a considerable amount of arrogance to assume that I’m numbering it because I don’t think people will understand what I’m saying. Totally agree ! Not to mention we really don't have much of a offense identity. Purdue helped us out a lot with penalties! I will believe when we can sustain a clean drive on the ground on our own power and score a touchdown until then I am not drinking the koolaid

Explain how it was offensive pass interference, when Fidone didn’t even touch the defensive player? Took 7 points off the board.
Yea....I still don't get that call....
First half 13 rushes, 19 passes. Second half 17 rushes 9 passes. One out of three passes hits the ground, for he BEST quarterbacks.

Watching the game today, I feel Nebraska won't win many more games. They aren't a very good team. It was like the two worst teams battling for not being the cellar dweller of the big 10.
Do you enjoy being a negative A-hole?
Exactly 💯. We know where we are unfortunately 😢
I wouldn’t go as far as the “worst”, they are somewhere in the middle. If we are the one of the worst, then Illinois is also one of the worst if they went into OT with us. Illinois also played well against Penn St for the whole game until basically the last quarter. It was a one score game until the final couple minutes
They need a new field goal kicker & whole field goal unit
When is the last time they had an ugly win? I joined the game at 0-3 late in the 3rd. They won. Ultimately that is all that matters. I am worried about the rest of the season now, but I 100% believe they SHOULD squeak out 2 more wins to get a bowl. I do hate that I had to say squeak.
I was happy with the game. We were held to FGs in the 1st half. I am absolutely done with this kicker. Having kicks inside the 20 blocked.. there is no reason to have that low of an angle.
We might as well go for it on 4th down till Alvano is back.
Not crazy how the oline is protecting Raiola. I feel like it is not allowing the play calling to go all out and let Raiola have 400 yard passing games.
Wasn't kickers fault. Bad snap twice threw off timing. You couldn't have made it either. Ex NFL player will get it straightened out.
If you watched that and had no idea why the angle was low , you should not be judging kickers
@coreyadam2673 timing off! Starts with snap, then holder, and finally kicker
One mistake by either of the first two means a big mistake by kicker. I saw the mistakes. If you watched, tv did a replay on one of them.
For both of you clowns... that wanna get all agro on youtube comments. Facts are facts.. dude is 1 out of 5. In baseball that lands you in the majors.
The loss last week was a team loss but had he hit that very makable FG we do not go to OT and we do not lose...
Do not give me that stuff about Illinois would have gotten a FG and tie it. They would have ended that game in OT.
Further more I doubt Alvano misses all of those
