My machine has a built in walking foot that I can disengage. Do you think it’s better to leave it engaged or not engaged. Thanks.

Do some tests to see which foot you prefer!

I would like to sew Picot elastic to a V neck nightie, do you know how to apply it to a V neck.

You can apply it like on a round neckline and then sew a little triangle at the center front to create the V.

My problem is that, with sweat, zig-zag stitched elastic against the skin turns into sandpaper. Same with serged seams. I use strips of 4 way stretch, wicking, high-tech jersey fabric for my elastic and a single yard of high-end fabric will last a very long time. It's firmly stretchy with excellent memory, soft, wicking, fast drying and doesn't irritate at all. I'm making my own because I wear store-bought underwear inside out to avoid the irritation. I also wash by hand and put 10ppm colloidal silver in my last rinse so that if there is any irritation, there won't be any bacteria.
