My chunky ass doesn't fit in those tight spaces as well these days, but I have been in worse smelling tanks for inspections than that in my time. Just give me a broad spectrum antibiotic, and a proper set of coveralls, and a case of beer, maybe two hahaha. That's as Canadian as it gets... not dunking my head under though hahahaha. I can only imagine what that area is going to smell like in the hot Australian sun... No matter what you do that grease and oil is in the dirt and pavers and will be for a long time!

I don't know why you tube recommend your chanel, but Bruce I've gota bloody tell ya, Your entertaining m8, Watching a drian bering unblocked is so satisfying,,, you are living the bloody dream, I noticed you keep calling one of your nozzles your German friend lol, I think you should call it good old choppa, good old bloody chop chop, now you being australian there's no need to explain choppa, but others won't have a clue, for those who don't know Mark chopper read is an Australian absolute legend,
Bruce they'll put the rubbish own waste disposal unit , when we're on holiday once in Australia , we put all our scraps down and even the chicken bones from our cooked chicken . It chewed it all up , the machine just loved it . I don't think it would chew cloths up very well , they would be too soft for it .

This is the kind of video I prefer over house plumbing ones. Do you use hot water or cold water to clean the grease traps and how much water is actually used in a job like this? (in gallons if possible-we Americans are ignorant to the metric system).
That gulley was spitting out a root beer float!!!

Bruce, my hats is off to you, I have worked at a few places with grease traps, and honestly I don't know how you do it. I have a very strong stomach for all things gross and disgusting. Grease traps however is the one thing I can't do.

G'day Bruce, you ask where would I rather be? Exactly where I am, that's where, thank you. I am in the motorhome (RV) with a great view over The Solent from East Cowes on the Isle of White. A question for you, Do grease traps actually work or is it all the detritus the users flush into the traps that make them useless?
They do work mate although the ones that aren't working so well are the ones I'm recording. Have a great time in the RV!

Why is there always so much grease left at the outlet side of a grease trap? Seems to be the case in al lot off video's with grease trap blockages.

You need a net like the fellas from the Blocked Drain Korea channel! That'll help with scooping up all the rubbish and golden drain nuggets.
I almost had another drain job for ya as well! Me sink had been blocked for a month and I was just about to tell my landlord about this awesome plumber who lives for cleaning out stinky drains when I hear a cry of excitement and exultation from the kitchen. Despite my landlord and two sons trying to fix the problem, my daughter solved it in an instant! The cause? A bloody spoon managed to lodge itself deep in the pipe. She battled for centuries, eons, even until the sun exploded, but she managed to get the offending piece of silverware free...and then wiped gross drain stinky hands on me 🤮🤣

I'd swim in the grease trap for free, we should start a new Olympic sport . 3 meter grease trap swim then a 50 sprint after you climb out ! Great vid we seen the half plunger and we noticed the new handle on the reel .

Takes a deep sense of humour to positively describe dealing with a blocked grease trap destroyed by some loon who cut the corner & destroyed the gulley let alone the owner who didn't deal with it till it actually backed up in the Restaurant

I would mention to the customer that there were rubber gloves and towels in the trap. I did not see any baffles in the grease trap, did it have any?
There were baffles mate, they were just a little bit low, but you're right. They should be higher.

Imagine if the owner had to do some oversight on the grease traps. When they see all the items in the trap they’d get after the staff to watch what/where they dispose of things. Wouldn’t take a job away from you though Bruce, just reduce the detritus you end up dealing with. As ever, g’day from Stony Plain, Alberta 🇨🇦 🎉

Can anyone translate au gulley to American English. We freeze here so our pipes are deeper and we don't have the same access points. Then again we don't have blokes cleaning drains giving me cheer over here. Carry on mate.
