The issue with TV reality …you never know how they will portray you ..they are about ratings not about you. You have to be careful.

We live and we learn. Lol. I've jumped into projects like that. Not tv worthy, but some pretty decent size events

I’ve never heard of scope creep! But, I can definitely relate to taking on a project only to have it change midstream. I can also relate to agreeing to lowering the cost of a project and agreeing to taking on a pressure order when I know I need more time, etc! Someone recently asked me to make pillar candles. It felt really good to say no, I don’t make those. Because there’s a part of me that might have tried to make them etc., when those aren’t the candles I make. Good video!

Did he have kids in mind when he kept asking you to add to the project? If you as a professional took hours to come up with something how could kids who have no knowledge of candles complete a project like this in an hours time? He was the idiot not you. You might have took on something you shouldn’t have but his expectations was off to begin with.

I agree on prices..people will say oh well this other person will do it at this price. I tell them my candles are not for everyone BUT I can tell you everyone will enjoy it. I can’t tell you the same for the other person. I don’t back down on my prices. I usually get 90% the other 10 percent ..don’t sweat it.

A question not related to the TV show. Does a candle continue curing after you light it for 3-4 hours? Thank you =)

The rest of the wax can still go through some process for a while.

The pics didn’t look THAT bad, but I know it was not what either of you envisioned. Oh well, at least it didn’t make it to filming and then a fail LOL

Always a good lesson to take away. Especially from this one. :D

You're right Jeff, beige straightforward and discussing all the details openly from the beginning of any deal is so important. Nice skyscraper btw, it's not as bad as you think it is 😊
