    Akercocke changed extreme metal overnight.
Growing up in Japan, one of my bandmates brought a copy of Rape Of The Bastard Nazarene home from a trip to the UK and it changed my life.
I had never heard a extreme metal band like them, who play with such mastery on their instruments.
Who write such deeply philosophical and theological lyrics.
Who are so willing to play with both vocal and musical styles, and even incorporate rare and historical instruments into their music.
    Akercocke have never been bettered.

First album that made me feel strange after hearing it. Something judt "evil" about it.
      Amazing band.
