I have a suggestion!! i tried this and its really fun. on thanks giving day (spring or winter whichever you pick is fine) buy tons of chocolates (before thanksgiving because the store might be close on thanksgiving day) then gave everyone each. And i found out Harris the policeman have feelings for Aja! (manna and duke's daughter.) because when i gave him chocolate he responded with, "thank you! i hope it was from Aja though." then i also gave Zack a chocolate and he responded with sadness and said, "thank you, i wish it came from *her*...." (Lilia) and then i gave both the girls and boys as well, even ellen, mei, stu, saibara and other old people even duke. Its so fun to get their reactions. And Gotz is really sweet when i gave him a chocolate.
It's weird ,but no one seems to notice what you add to the soup even though it shows you tossing it right in. It doesn't have to be a poison mushroom either, you can throw in something that normally wouldn't be good in soup like an apple or some honey and they'll react the same way. :)
Man, the potluck meal sprite here is way better than Stardew Valley's. Don't get me wrong, I adore Stardew, but I'd be lying if I said that the potluck stew in that game looked like anything other than straight-up vomit. It needs a better sprite/texture/something to make it look like food that people would actually eat. I mean, I get that looking jumbled is kind of the point since it's a stew made from random ingredients, but take one look at that 'stew' and tell me that if someone put that in front of you, you wouldn't immediately lose your appetite
