Turducken is far from overrated especially cajun turducken.
It's a damn shame the penalty box isn't mic'd up. Yeah it sure as hell won't be PG, but I wanna hear it dammit!
It's a damn shame that the NHL can't profit off fans wanting to listen to the game uncensored. Obviously they can take out the worst of the worst that's being said, but my gosh I'd happily pay $20 a month just to listen to them on the bench, in the penalty box and just mic'd up in general.
@@Jens95for real
@@walkerholiday9631 you really don’t tho
If the NHL is gonna have an animated kids version replay of the game, I want a R rated uncensored adults only version of the broadcast
I’ve always believed that the NHL should have a no commentary broadcast option where you just hear the ice level action, the game would be much better hearing some of the conversations that take place and the penalty box conversations would enhance it too. Nothing has to be edited or removed, if someone says something that is offensive to someone they have to live with that, might even hurt them in the wallet in terms of merchandise sales but that’s on that player. I’m not a wimp so nothing is offensive to me. I just enjoy hearing the trash talking and the witty responses. Cory Perry’s on ice actions were some of the best. Squirting water in opposing players gloves and stuff like that.
What’s crazy is in the Boston-Florida game that same type of thing happened and Lundell only got 2 for doing it to Poitras, which looked a lot worse than this.
Exactly what I was going to comment !!
I think the key determining factor for the Lundell hit was that he hit the chest first??? Maybe? I dunno.
Was gonna comment the exact same thing. Refs are inconsistent as hell. Blind zebras let florida get away with a ton
Because both shields have been two.
@@ls93780are u blind?? Or just dumb? I dunno.
Softest game misconduct I’ve ever seen wtf? I’m a Nucks fan too
I agree. First of all, it doesn't look like he hit him that hard. Secondly, I'm not entirely convinced he knew he was hitting him near the neck. Boeser looks like he was kinda falling before the hit. Terrible ejection.
@@mpthorvonericksen Boeser was definitely off balance and falling back before the hit. He definitely sold that quite a bit, and then looked perfectly fine only seconds later.
Manson in the box had me laughing so hard. One of the funniest things I've seen in a while

@@Jedda666 okay the whole sequence is hilarious 😂😂
It's amazing, even when the officials get all the replays we see they can still get the call wrong
It’s the hockey version of VAR
Yeah...I'm a Canuck fan and even I can say I don't like that call.
cross check to the face most always results in a major penalty, a major cross checking penalty is an automatic game misconduct. its the right call
Bruh it wasn’t the ref’s decision. The league determined it was a major and game misconduct penalty. I’m guessing it was more so the act. I’m pretty sure if Boeser didn’t fall dramatically, they wouldn’t have gone to the league.
@@rocketmanab You are NOT a canuck fan, you are a troll. That is a legit cross check to the face. You are functionally re ta rded
Brock Boeser should have to play the rest of the season with a full cage after this
What's funny is that Vancouver only ended up with six seconds of power play time from this whole thing. They took two minors right after. Combined with Boeser's minor, Colorado actually had more power play time in the five minutes after Manson was ejected. Game management.
Was wild 2nd period lol
I didn’t watch the game so I didn’t know that, but it’s hilarious.
Holding your face like there's a medical emergency should require a medic or an embellishment call.

He's not selling the call - he drew blood on it. This one's on the refs
@@MissKorea-oy9ip Respectfully, you are blind if you don't see this was a fire sale by Boeser. Maybe YOU would have reacted like that, he is a professional athlete. No need to go down like you've been shot, especially if all you have to show for it is a tiny speck of blood. That is no excuse for the extra stank he put on that. He wanted a penalty, and he got rewarded by the referees for it.
In my eyes this is an egregious enough sale, this should be offsetting minors.
@@xRawPoweryou got Homer goggles on dude!
@@xRawPower Disclosure: I'm a Canucks fan and that's why I'm here. But anytime someone gets a stick in the face and BLEEDS, how can you blame them for going down? How can you accuse them of diving? Manson thought he sold the call because he wasn't even looking and didn't hit hard (which is why I think the 5+game was harsh). But he drew blood, man.
Screw NHL officials
My question is why are they even reviewing in the first place? The initial call was 2-minute minor for Manson, which is not reviewable. Only a double-minor or a major are reviewable.
Maybe cause there was blood on a potential high sticking?
I’m just guessing- it made me think of last season when Manson got high sticked and they stopped play for the injury but not the penalty, but then they couldn’t review it because there wasn’t blood so they couldn’t call a penalty, like it was either 4 min or nothing. (The “no injury, no penalty” call)
I have no idea though…
Jens, you’re the best hockey RUclipsr there is! Thanks
Vals face is great lmao i love this team man swagger town is back!
What???!!! How in the world is that a match penalty??? Yes 2 mins for sure and maybe 4 mins but to put 5 mins plus match when it is clear the player flopped??? What???
Just to clarify, he got a game misconduct. Not a match. Just means he’s out for the rest of that game. A match would mean he is suspended pending review
Just to clarify, it's still the wrong decision by the league ,or the refs, or whoever.@@johky
@@DDWyssI wasn’t disagreeing that it was a bad call, just clarifying what the call was.
Unbelievable. That was a baby x check. 2 minute minor at most. It was the Canuck player initiating contact and lifting Mansons stick that caused it to come up. Then he embellished it big time. What is going on with the NHL right now?
Regardless of how weak it is, it was in the face/neck area, which is an automatic 5. Even if his stick was lifted, Manson still had the ability to just not cross check Boeser. You're responsible for where your stick goes, even if it unintentionally goes high.
I think it was a bit of a sell from Boeser, but they called it by the rules. Stuff happens.
This is a very strange route the NHL is taking to try and cut down on the cross-checking. Instead of, you know, just calling the penalties when they happen.
Well, Bettman has never been known for logic. Is it any wonder that attendance has been down league wide? Too many shots to the foot.
Buddy tried to take a bite out of his stick
That was not a 5 minute worthy cross checking penalty. I can see why Colorado and Manson didn’t like it. Likewise, that was a trip and how they could not call that just shows how shitty the officiating has been this season.
Boeser was bleeding why wouldn't it be 5 mins?
@@MrSupahLMFAObecause it wasn’t Manson’s fault. Boeser head butted the stick and then fell over, it had nothing to do with Manson

@@AmokCanuck I mean you can watch the clip for yourself, but regardless… it wasn’t Manson’s fault, which is pretty much the whole point. The refs were on shit when they made it anything higher than even just a 2 minute.
Regardless of the call being right or wrong, it’s absolutely insane how long it takes them to review the call. Totally interrupting the flow of the game.

Diveboy tries to hit Mason in the face and in doing so, smacks himself in the face. Poor little kid Boeser!
Boeser really sold it.
What a horrendous call. This league has lost their minds.
The officials are genuinely letting the fans down.
There was a second cross check to the face later in the game, again by Colorado, but that one wasn’t called, refs in the NHL are funny on what they do and don’t call

one of the softest calls iv ever seen. the refs were brutal tonight all over the league. this ref crew and the one that did the oilers game should get together and exchange ideas on how to be fucking blunders.
true
The fact that they had like 3+ minutes of directly viewing replays and THIS was the result, is truly scary. This is what the NHL wants to be a 5 min major.
There will be a notification immediately, watch the video... wish you good health and success 👍👍👍
Give Boeser a medal. Neymar would be proud of that dive.
I wish they had this replay rule back in the Conference Finals in 1993. Damn Gretzky and Kerry Fraser!
and the oscar goes too....
Grade A for flopping though. He could win an academy award.
Boeser has a future in Soccer if this Hockey diving career doesn't catch on.
Avs fan here. To those calling for embellishment, I say it was not. He had a bloody nose. Any shot to the schnozz hard enough to cause bleeding is gonna evoke a reaction in anyone not trained in taking a punch. The bit after, clutching his face....maybe a bit excessive, but not everyone processes pain the same way. So just a cross-check for Boeser.
But for Manson...the rule states: "59.1 Cross-checking - The action of using the shaft of the stick between the two hands to forcefully check an opponent." I would like to point out the word forcefully. I do not think what Manson did rises to the level of "forcefully." So it would be a high-stick, and there was blood, so a double minor. I do think that a good chuck of the power in the hit to the nose was supplied by Boeser, which to me negates any possibility of a major, even if you do call it a cross-check.
The trip was a missed call, for sure. But the refs missed it, and they cant go back and review it, nor should they be going back far enough to even see it when reviewing the net front stuff. So it should have no bearing on the call. But maybe it did...maybe they figured trip plus double minor equals major + GM. Not sure how that math works, but I am not an NHL ref. They did end up calling a couple minors on the Canucks while the major was being served, so VAN only ended up with like 6 seconds of PP time for the whole major (right at the start Nichushkin was still in the box), but the Avs got a total of 60 (which makes sense...Boeser 2, Beauvillier 2 and Myers 2 is 6 min, with 9 seconds of the Myers slash spilling over the end of the major. So despite the major penalty that shouldn't have been, no damage was done.
This was called wrong Bess should have gotten 2 for embellishment and 2 for cross checking. Mason should have only gotten 2 for cross checking
Are you allowed to cross check players in the face? no
Are you allowed to draw blood with a stick check to the body? no
Manson cross checked boeser in the face, causing a bloody nose.
is that not intent to injure?
then yes 5 min major should have been called
I'd have called 4 minutes each. Manson 2+2 for highstick/crosscheck and drawing blood. Boeser gets 2 for the cross check and 2 for unsportsmanlike on the incredibly excessive embellishment. Also, that level of embellishment usually comes with a fine, so...
@@SleeCeeif you think that pushing back against someone actively crosschecking you while not even looking in the direction of that player is somehow intent to injure, then you should also see Boeser's actions as instigating, which is an automatic 2+5+10. Both are clear and obvious exaggerations of what actually happened, but....
@@CAhockeydude You have no idea what your talking about, go look up 7.11 rule
If you careless swing your stick at any opposing player causing damage or injury then its 5 and a game. see Kassian Vs Gagner as a prime example.
You and only you, the player are responsible for your stick at all times.

I cheer for the Canucks and you're not wrong. Wild that was a 5 minute major. How could there be intent when he wasn't even looking
@@JaneNayesthat's the part that's crazy. How can it be intent to injure if he's not even looking. He's just reacting to a normal net battle crosscheck so pushes back but Boesers head was down

@@SirLionofBiff you are correct, the only thing i can say that would of convinced them it was a 5 is that it caught him in the neck/face area

Ok, so here’s what we’re gonna do to improve the NHL:
You know how there are constant whistles, penalties, scrums, injuries, ice maintenance, goal reviews, goal-review-challenges, goal-review-challenge-challenges, timeouts, and TV timeouts…?
Well, unfortunately, the game still isn’t slow enough.
So, from now on, we are going to take a break-after every break-so that we can watch every replay-of every replay-until we come up with a way to give someone a misconduct.

Honestly looks more like Boesers head came down low then Manson going for the head.. Game Misconduct seems harsh..
"She fell into my fist, I swear."
It's the right call. As the announcers mentioned, it's penalizing the player based on behavior instead of the injury. Think of it like a speeding ticket. The speeding ticket is designed to change the behavior of motorists so that they don't make any more unneccessary risks.....in this case, although it wasnt intended/hard, just dont get into the habit of cross checking someones head.

Boeser sold that one by acting like a p*ssy. Should get an Oscar for that acting. If the call goes under review they should take the players "injury" or lack thereof into account as well.
