Its really too bad that Carolyn Jones (Morticia Addams from the Addams Family), is not here with U.S. anymore. Or for that matter Morey Amsterdam either. They were a part of the GIANT population of Hollywood's few, the proud, the classics!

Betty White also returned, and would make many more appearances in the "funny lady" seat. Bert Convy in the final week of a three-week stint in the first seat. He'll be back in October. Morey Amsterdam in the first of five non-consecutive weeks on the show. His last would be in July 1974. Always one with a funny line in the early days. Carolyn Jones's only week on the show.
Before the era of Charles Nelson Reilly. MG really got amped up after he was added. The "frenemy" chemistry between Charles and Brett was unbeatable. So funny!!

i was so tempted to say dumb ass... but realized that would have only been there if this was a new 2013 match game hosted by steve harvey... lol.. I hope they remake this show and steve hosts it.. He would bring this show back with a vengence
I never understood why Gene said to the contestants, "that we ask you to make the selection in choosing the question, because you might find some questions more difficult than others". How would they know how difficult they are, if they've never heard the questions before? Am I missing something?
There's nothing missing. Some questions were in fact harder than others if there wasn't that one answer. Plus, Gene did have to fight to have the questions be comedy based instead of dry and boring (Like on the Original NBC Run where people actually liked the Comedic element).
It was the luck of the draw whether or not they ended up with questions with obvious answers. Otherwise, the contestant who had questions with less obvious answers could complain they were treated unfairly.
My opinion is everything in show biz is time management down to the millisecond, the producers probably had him explain that to kill an additional ten seconds or more
