Thank you very much excellent video. The mechanic shop want it $ 350.00 for labor only to change the head light. With parts it was over $600 dallors. Thank for helping us save money by doing it ourselves 🙏
Wow, appreciate your video big-time. My driver's side headlight was getting water in it each time it rained. I followed your great detailed video, pulled the headlight, run sealant around the clear to black plastic housing seam and re-installed. No more water, thanks for your effort.
Quite a lot more work than the headlights on a 2006 Caravan ;) On that model it was simply 2 screws to remove, no need to remove the front grill/bumper cover. Thanks for the demonstration, time to go to work on it ;)
Just replaced the low beams (hardest to reach) using some contorted arms. Did both bulbs in about 8 minutes. No need to take off your bumper if just replacing bulbs 👍
Great video. I was able to replace my headlights in my 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan after watching this video . The pace, videography and detail of your video was just perfect, Thank you.
Thank you! This was an excellent video. Especially the part where you talked about the little tabs that fit into the slots. If you hadn't mentioned those tabs, I am sure that I would have had a much harder time trying to get everything to fit back together correctly. Also, the part about loosening the other two bolts on the plastic piece under the headlight assembly. That was also very helpful!
The video was incredibly helpful. Thank you for sharing it. I was able to successfully change my headlights with ease. The only issue I encountered was when reassembling the bumper after installing the lights, I required assistance from another person to hold it in place.
Thanks for the reference. I’d like to see someone else do it ( bumper removal) before I attempt for the first time. Swapped headlight housings that were old and foggy and one I had broke 2/3 mounting tabs a few years ago. 🎉
Replaced both foggy headlights. 1 hour. Thank you. Follow instructions from video then reverse the process to reinstall. Just take your time and do not over pull or push plastic clips and bumper.
No you should be able to replace the light bulb by squeezing your hand inside behind the headlight assembly. But to replace the complete headlight assembly you would have to remove the front bumper because the headlight mounting screws are behind it
@@QuiteAlright Just ran into a snag. Just realized that I have a different high beam light on my 2008 limited. I have 4 lights holes on my OEM headlight assembly, and realized that the replacement assembly from amazon, only has a spot for 3 lights, and the fitting for the "special" high beam is different from yours. Looks like I have to put everything back together until I get the Right part to Fix It Right. At least I'll be able to break it down faster the next time. :)
I found this video because I was searching up how to de-yellow the plastic on one of my headlights. My plan was to retrobright it by soaking it in the sun in some peroxide, but if I gotta take off the entire front of it, eh.... I'm not sure I want to. I would take it to Mavis, but I did that with my old van and they scratched the paint.
Hi, you can try using one of the headlight polish kits. They are quite cheap ($25 - $30) and come with polishing paste + sand paper + bits for the drill
What a huge pain in the arse why they don't make things much easier to access in cars is beyond me its mental all that pissing work just to change something out. Cars so need to be updated.
Hello, try checking fuses M17 and M18. They are responsible for running lights and tail lights so hopefully headlights are on the same circuit. If not you would need to check wiring diagram to see how they are wired.
Awesome video! i used your previous tutorial to remove my bumper successfully! For the headlights, i will be replacing all 3 bulbs (high, low, and turn). Do the high and low require alignment? I can only find videos for older model caravans. Thanks!
@@QuiteAlright ah, i see. In my case i had to replace the entire headlight too and one of the headlight beams seems higher than the other. I guess the entire bumper needs to be loosened to access the 3 bolts, unless there is some fine tune adjustment screw somewhere?
Hi, video is about replacing complete headlight assembly. Unfortunately one of the mounting screws is behind the front bumper and impossible to reach without removing it. Bulbs are very easy to replace
Would there be a reason the drivers front running light, drivers rear running light and the tail light to be all out? I checked the m17 fuse and m18 they work fine, and I replaced the rear tail light and it’s the same issue.
@@RustyZipper oh no I've never had so many random electrical issues and things pop up before on other cars. Backup camera, DVD player, alternator like there's an endless list with this model and dodge I guess
THIS IS WHAT RUclips IS FOR!!! Outstanding video... very informative and not filled with unnecessary chatter... you get a thumbs up from me
Thank you and I'm glad my video was helpful

I just changed out both lights in less than 30 min. thanks to your video, thanks for posting it.
No problem. Thank you for watching

Thanks for watching and good luck. Yes most of new vehicles are much more complicated to do simple work

My goodness! Do I have to remove the entire bumper just to replace a light bulb in the headlight? Great video!

Very well done thank you so much, helped a lot
You're welcome!
If you are just replacing the bulbs, do not do this! You can just reach in and twist them out. Super simple.
A very good informational video . Good job on creating this and thank you my friend .
My pleasure! Thank you for watching
Thanks for sharing. Same instructions for 2008 Town & Country.
You bet!

Glad to hear
How much does a shit ton weigh?

I completely agree. This way they force most of people to bring cars to their service centers and make $. It's all done on purpose
Hello! Thanks for these videos! Can you help me locate the headlight fuse. My headlights just quit working. Thanks! More power to you!

This is the hardest possible way to do a simple task. You can easily reach the bulbs on a 2014 without removing the bumper.
Hi, video is about replacing complete headlight assembly. Unfortunately one of the mounting screws is behind the front bumper and impossible to reach without removing it. Bulbs are very easy to replace
Insane engineering. On the 2001-2007 model, none of this is necessary--1 bolt on top, then just slide headlight forward.
I know. They definitely made it complicated
Maybe we should consider hiding state secrets in Dodge Caravan headlamps

Hmmm try checking all the wiring, cleaning electrical connectors, etc... could be a short somewhere
Great video! 😊
Thanks! 😊
Very good video thanks

on a 2020 passenger side, all I did was remove the air filter house reached in and changed the bulb from the inside. The driver side is even easier.
thanks for sharing
Great thanks
You are welcome
Is there a way to replace the headlight bulbs without removing the bumper? Looks too complicated for a novice like me.
You should be able to remove the bulbs without any major problems. This video shows how to replace complete headlight assembly
Great Made it look easy!!!!!
Do you need to re aim the new headlight on these?
No not really at least to my knowledge. It would have to be done if vehicle was in an accident or had some repairs in that area
Thanks for sharing knowledge
My pleasure
Where can I get those three screws that attach the headlight?
Best option is to use oem and then from dodge dealer. Other option go to any hardware store and get similar screws
This guy I really don't care about paint I think I'll buy a Christmas tree removal tool the way he just drops the bumper in the dirt
You need to pull bumper down from guard first then pull bumper out the front .
You need 4 hands to do this. You and the wife.
Good job
Thanks
Thank you!!!
You're welcome!
other videos show much easier way to replace bulb.
This is for replacing the entire headlight assembly, not just the bulb
You didn’t show the re install
Thank you, but I think I'm gonna need more hands.
No problem and good luck
You have to take off the bumper to get to the headlights? ....yikes
Yes unfortunately
Whow! Too much work for me.
Yea unfortunately bumper has to go off to remove the headlight
And this is exactly why im selling this thing, what a pain, plus all the electrical issues. Good riddance
They’re all the same…. except Toyota 🤣
@@RustyZipper oh no I've never had so many random electrical issues and things pop up before on other cars. Backup camera, DVD player, alternator like there's an endless list with this model and dodge I guess
SO BASICALLY YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE WHOLE DAMN CAR APART TO CHANGE A FKN BULB!!!! SHYT IS SAD!!!!
Hi, no you can replace the bulbs without removing the bumper. This is a video on how to replace complete headlight assemblies
O kej
Very good video dude 😁😁
Thank you
Thanks buddy, great job.
