After destroying my brand new injector removal kit off Ebay 2 days ago, i realised my egr cooler had completely corroded 😅, i may do what you have done but it's all dependent on weather or not i can get these injectors out as i have a stuck exhaust valve 😅! Im no mechanic, but im becoming a vivaro master tech this last year, lol.
@tinker-time Yeah, I saw mate 😅 I watched the full saga 😂🤣😂 and loved every minute of it, but it's put the fear of life in me. Now I know what I have to do 😅.
Mark quick question if you don't mind pal, I have a 2.0 Vivaro M9R on an 11 plate, I was changing both front wheel bearings and the drive shaft must've pulled out a little and dropped gearbox oil while I was fitting the new bearings, Not a problem I thought just top it up but it has to be a certain amount and have no idea how much leaked. Have you done any gearboxes or know how much it needs from empty? Btw love the vids and have learned so much about my van watching your vids, Thankyou.
Just remove the filler plug at the top and top the oil slowly until it starts to run out through the hole , when it does it’s at the right level and just put your plug back in…. It’s the same procedure on any FWD gearbox really I’ve always done mine this way and never had any issues… On the M9r the gearbox takes 2.7 l If you’re unsure about doing it there are a few vids on the tube…👍
thanks lot 👍👍hope I've helped you in some way, check with a motor factors on the oil speck, think it 75w-80 it takes about 2.6 litres. But there is a drain fill and an overfill on the side of the gearbox. so it cant be over filled, like this other lads mentioned in his comment, make sure the bearing in the right way lol if you need me to do a gearbox oil top up or re fil let me know 👍
@@yensabi Really appreciate the replies and Thanks but the overflow as far as I've researched is higher than the oil quantity required to fill the gearbox and overfills if you fill till it trickles out, Looks like I'll just drain the box and add in a measured amount of fluid. Looks like it's 2.7L Thanks. 👍
I went to change my oil cooler on my vivaro the other day bought one of fleabay and turns out was only the hose connecting to the egr valve that needed changing
That small rubber hose on mine was really well worn and soft, it odd looking think, I've 4 here that are seized up, so we're never working anyway 🫤 that why now they are been removed
please I need help , please give me your opinion . I have the code P219A in a 2016 Honda , I already did electrical testing on MAF , MAP , Coils , spark plugs have only 7,000 miles , I removed them and they look clean , I removed the EGR and I cleaned it , I removed the injectors and did electrical test and cleaned them , I can’t find the problem. A mechanic told me it is a leak . Apart from the check engine light the engine has less power, and when I accelerate I feel the engine stalling a little bit, when the car is parked with the engine ON I hear a weird noise in the muffler like a leak . A mechanic told me it was a leak . So today I bought a smoke machine and the EGR has like vents and is leaking smoke from there , is that normal ? Should I buy a new EGR ? Thanks 🙏
Hi mate, No, you should have any leaks come out of the egr, that will cause boost pressure problems, as well If you have cleaned the injectiors? You can buy a leak Off kit online and see if they are passing to much , 20 to 25ml is ok for an injector I hope this helps you in some way Let me know,
@@ON-THE-DRIVEWAY thanks for the advice I’m going to buy the kit because yeah I read that it might be a leaking injector but I didn’t know how to check for that . Thanks again. New subscriber here .
@@Dean_tat2 I'm not sure there's anyone that does it really all the gaskets I made myself and the blanking plates I did a video on the blue van where I show how I did the EGR it's just a couple of blanking plates I then drilled and tapped where the spindle shaft went, ripped out the motor

@hammyzgod
Them kits aren't the best. In one of my videos I did, I smashed it to, ended up welding it up,
