1:00 K. Szymanowski: Romance Op.30 8:06 N. Milstein: Paganiniana 18:07 H. Wieniawski: Capriccio no. 4 Le Staccato, Op. 10 21:38 L. van Beethoven: Sonata No. 9 for violin and piano in A major, Op. 47 30:58 H. Wieniawski: Scherzo-Tarantella in G minor, Op. 16
after her 2nd round performance at the 15th Wieniawski competition, I wrote that if she was out for 3rd round, it will be a disgrace of this competition. she is so dangerous to those prepared winners if any. She was so lucky to enter the final and win the first prize. Veriko and Bomsori all first prize winners for me, they are just so good in different way. Verik has an amazing sense of timing and dynamics and her sound is so colorful and expressive rarely heard in the young violinists today. She makes the violin sound as any kind of fine violins that music require at the spur of the moment. If she can play with the Turkish pianist Fazil Say, what a phenomenon and music chemistry will be created!!!
At the Paganiniana, during the 21st caprice variation, I heard actual voices, singing. I could see the music and hear the colors. Im lost for words. Truly amazing.
I’ve taught private violin to all levels full time for 36 yrs and performed for 50. Veriko has been a favorite of mine at the Wieniawski comps for years. Love how she OWNS the Wieniawski Op 16 ST in this stage!!!!!

son cuatro sordos y tontos de culo...no hay que preocuparse, ademas estoy seguro que los cuatro que has mencionado, le hubieran dado un ME GUSTA seguro,,,un saludo
What is wrong with the audience? No applause after a tremendous Paganiniana? If they have been told not to applaud until the very end that is very bad advice and must be awful for the performer to be met with stoney silence after busting a gut to deliver a fantastic performance throughout. A competition is STILL a performance. If the judges have deemed that audience applause until the very end is somehow prejudicial to the outcome for some other reason they are nuts.

Veriko if you are reading this, I was rooting for you the entire competition honey!
She was a winner of the competition. Unreal performance!
After the Paganiniana...dead silence, utterly bemused, after such an incredible performance!!! Crumbs...
This was a competition performance. Audience was silent not to disturb the participant. Greetings.
A true young musician
She is truly magnificent! The scherzo tarantelle was just out of this world!
She is truly exceptional, superb expression and touching, very noble tone.

I have found my new role model for the violin!
I think I have never heard the scherzo tarantelle sound more perfect. Pitch on point! Timing expressive. She came to win. Wonderful.

Geezus...she's really really good.
She has panache and warmth, (and accuracy apart from the first two bars which we forgive her) I shall watch out for her. Its a damn difficult game.

The audience could have been more enthusiastic!!! She is AMAZING!!!
You should hear and see the audience after her performance of Szostakowicz! I was there.

I think the first one labeled "Romans Op 30" on the screen should be "Op 23" instead.
