Jamie, you make a great point. I'm going all over the country and missing out on the fun in my own backyard! I have two more trout trips out west, and a trip to Louisiana scheduled, and yet my favorite fishing time on Allatoona is right around the corner. So many fish, so little time! Thanks for watching my videos. I really appreciate your feedback.
Thanks Chris, I did! As you know, a good morning of topwater is always a blast. Man, I am so glad you commented. It reminded me to watch your last video. " Three People Every Person Needs in Their Life" (not just outdoorsmen) That was awesome. 1st, I feel your pain with carp. They can be hard hard hard! But that's why I love them. The ones I have caught on Allatoona have been through persistent on point casting. I had to find them, then not spook them through cast after cast and then make every cast count. Eventually, I would get an eat. Sometimes I wonder if I just happened to put the fly in their path and they sucked it up on accident. The drag and drop is one way to do this. One thing that has helped me is to tie a 60 degree jig hook fly so that the hook point is always riding up when I drag the bottom. I use medium to large dumbbell eyes to keep the hook up and to get the fly down quick, but then your casting can be tougher and spookier. 2nd, congratulations on your weight loss. Right now, losing weight is my carp challenge! I guess I need to go find a Paul. For anyone else that might happen to read this, here is Chris's channel: ruclips.net/user/ChrisFunktheFeralOne
