My first killing joke gig and the best. They were at the top of their game on this tour. Remember loud being the support band and pretty good too

My first KJ gig too although I'd been into them since I saw them on TV on The Tube and Top of the Pops in the '80s, when I was a teenager in Cornwall. What a legendary night it was! LOUD played in support. Anyone remember them?

This was also my fist KJ gig and I have been to hundreds of gigs since then. I still rate this in the top 3 gigs I have ever seen and me and my mate who I went to this gig with still talk about it today. The thing about this show was we missed Love Like Blood at the end as Atkins throws his floor tom into the crowd and we thought that was end of show, the following week in NME they review this gig and comment on Love Like Blood, me and my mate say he's fabricating, we was there and they didn't do it. Years later somebody I know lends me their video of this (from the same source, we were front row of balcony right of centre left of where camera is) and low and behold they did do it. I can't believe we left before the house lights went up, however still a brilliant gig without LLB. Atkins plays a blinder, particularly during Pssyche. The intensity was full on just before the first Gulf War kicked off and the band look as though they are really enjoying it, especially Jaz. This gig scores10/10 all day long. I have seen them many times since, but they have never been better than this.

Any idea why Paul Raven seemed so agitated and was pointing at someone in the audience when the band came back out for the encore? He's not really someone I'd have wanted to get on the wrong side of!

Remember a lot of cans being thrown about that night . Guy in the support band got hit big time. That may of had something to do with it

Or try KeepVid site. This is what I use (FLV best quality with lower files.)

Thank you for this upload. The sound quality may be very poor but not enough to prevent me from believing that this must have been an incredible gig to attend. The atmosphere of anger and exorcised energy is tangible and you can see the effect that the music is having on the audience. Extremities was a quite amazing album for KIlling Joke to come back with, and especially so after the overly produced and uncharacteristic sounding Outside the gate. I saw KJ at the Hammersmith Apollo around the time of Absolute dissent and that was an unexpectedly great show (I'd gone there, not really in the right mood and with low expectations) but I'd still have swapped that experience for this!

This was a truly wonderful evening.. I'd had a dab and lord knows what else - and was having a terrific bounce until Wardance.. I spent next few numbers rubbing petrol out of my eyes, or whatever mix the firebreather was imbibing. Didn't spoilt it though.. happy to show you the scars.

Anyone remember one guy having his jacket set on fire near beginning of gig? That's when you know you're at a Joke gig. You can't put into words the feelings, emotions. Love it, love 'em. Long live K.J. Asia anyone?🤞
