NETTY NUMBERS

This drill aims to encourage team work, passing, ball placement and reaction time.
Drill Instructions:
1) Split team in half and allocate a number to each
pair from opposite teams.
2) Place 2 balls in centre circle.
3) Coach to call a number e.g 2
4) Both players numbered 2, race to pick up a ball.
5) Winner gets a point.
Progression 2
1) Number pair called will race to the ball and bounce the ball within the circle 3 times.
Progression 3
1) Number pair called will race to the ball and pass the ball around their belly 2 times.
Progression 4
1) Number pair called will race to the ball, run back to their team to complete chest passes and then return to the centre circle.
Progression 5
1) Players called will complete the same steps as progression 4 although instead of racing to the centre circle they will go to the goal circle. If the shot goes in, the player will receive a bonus point. The first person back will also receive a point for their team.
