St Mirren but Morton have decent fan bass and only division below, that could change in the next decade, if society doesn't keep descending into insanity, it's a big if.
Last time Morton were top of the Premier league was around Xmas 1979. Unbelievable as it seems both teams were in the hunt for the title up until the last few months. St Mirren ended up 3rd but Morton fell away somewhat.
Its a shortened version of "Crapper Loo". Back in the days of horse and cart this was where the carts full of horse manure were brought and dumped for the horses working the docks nearby,, hence the name Carts Dyke ( the closest train station) being the wall over where the carts dumped off their "contents" that led to the place getting the nickname Crapper Loo.
@@jackwatson7943 I'm sure it does for a a couple of thousand down Greenock way although its been more of a hell than heaven for the last 40 years.. Heaven for us at the moment is the European version of the B & Q cup or whatever its called nowadays. Last time St Mirren qualified for Europe in 1987 Morton were promoted. I'm sure that would be good to see again.

Another excellent video Matt. Please keep up the good work!
Kind regards Francis
Thanks Francis for your kind comments 👍🏻⚽️🏴
Morton will always be in our shadows. COYS
Poor old Morton, will they ever get promoted?
@@mattthegroundhopper9242 How bloody long have dear old Ayr and Morton been out the topflight?

@@josephyearwood1179 i would love to see Ayr and Morton in an 18 team premiership but that is a whole another discussion 👍🏻⚽️🏴
Enjoyed the video, as already mentioned Always in our shadow
Thanks Chalky, the stats don’t lie 👍🏻
Brilliant big man well done
Thanks Paul, I do try 👍🏻⚽️🏴
Morton for me
Got the best named stand 👍🏻
11 - 1 is about right Matt... St.Mirren are bigger for sure
I think it’s a fair result 👍🏻
Morton only got their point cos they have terracing whereas Saints ground is all seated
Would love to be at Cappielow with a capacity crowd 👍🏻⚽️🏴
Ground capacity should be how man seats on ground
You mean not to include any terracing?
As I watch your video St.Mirren are top of the Scottish Premiership, COYS,.
I would love another team to win the league other than the big 2 👍🏻⚽️🏴

What does “Cappielow” mean?
I don’t think it has a meaning, just a name me thinks 🤔
