You know,when you think about it,Robin has 1 of the most compelling character arcs in all of Kinnikuman where he grows from a hero to a true shining knight. Throughout the story,he's presented as the antithesis of Kinnikuman in almost everything(manners,design,social status etc.),but the 1 core difference between them is how vain Robin is from the constant glory of the champion in contrast to Suguru who so far has tasted the bitterness of humiliation and disrespect without losing the basic principles of what makes a true hero. With an ego of that magnitude,it's expected Robin to look down on him and view him as inferior which is why he woul get salty over losing to a stinky "nobody" of a swine to the point he abandoned his wife and resorted to a dirty fighter. With the 2nd defeat being more humiliating,he became a shell of his former self reflected on his abusive behavior due to his ego of refusing to accept his defeat,still,he hoped through Warsman he could finally get the long craved win before rebelling against his abusive behavior and start fighting for his sake,Robin's 3rd loss came not from fighting himself but witnessing Suguru winning against his apprentice to whom passed on his lectures which indirectly means he won against Robin. After that,he realizes in order to grow he needs to abandon his ego and start valuing Suguru for what he truly is,proven by his selfless actions later on through each arc,peaking at his fight against Nemesis to whom he sees as a reflection of his former self hence why his defeat at his hands is so impactful. He even admits later on Kinnikuman is the stronger man which is why he went with The One to train in hope to break free from Suguru's shadow fair and square as equal fighters and not as inferiors or superiors. Honestly,he's one of the greatest rivals in anime due to his character journey,making him among the greats like Rikiishi from Ashita No Joe and Vegeta from Dragon Ball(before Super screwed him). He really went from an arrogant celebrity to a respected hero.
