This just made me feel sad for Giant Silva, he really didn’t seem quite with it the whole time. I salute both fighters, but this gave me sad Andre the Giant vibes.

@@wojtekpawlowski5660 It’s not impossible, but giants have a lot of physical issues. Against a competent fighter, they don’t stand much chance.
I think he has the same affliction Andre the Giant had. He seemed not to have any fight savy at all. Very sad.
@@wojtekpawlowski5660 the design of the human body had limits to weight and stress, even if everything is proportionate, it's just not designed to be that big ( if an ant grew 1000 times bigger, the legs would snap from the weight of the body)

It would more polite to call them David vs Goliath fights but, yeah, those kinds of fights are fun.
if Giant Silva had the range of motion of his limbs as a normal person, and good mobility all round he would be a threat for sure, but the guy could barely move. get him on his back and he`s like a tortoise, just flailing.

His size has always been his biggest weakness. Being big is useful to a point, after that it becomes a massive hinderance bc the human body’s structure isn’t meant to be that big
Being shorter he was able to sneak those knees in, it was like silva had only very little training anyway
Silva didn't look like he wanted to fight at all. Meanwhile the other gentleman is going all out.
No matter how big you are, we feel pain and get broken bones the same way mostly. Still, super impressive how a guy literally half the size dominated the Giant!

Damn this was amazing in how savage and raw it is. This reminds me of how I viewed Pride FC/Japanese MMA as the Raw Underground version of UFC. That awesome front roll into the leg takedown is something from a videogame.

The BIG man was just way too sluggish and slow and the little guy had great take down skills with all knees and elbows is all it took !!!
@Jeffery Elliott: Every fight I've been in was up against a guy biggee than me, as I'm 5'6". Not that I go looking for them, but when I have no choice to defend my self my speed was always my winning advantage.

Silva was just as big as young in-his-prime Andre and probably just as strong... still didn't help. You don't see giants dominating MMA shows pretty much ever, do you? Their incredible biology just doesn't work that well when it comes to competing in legitimate professional sports against top-class competitors.

Andre would split silva down the middle he was a class athlete and stronger than 10 men combined , no UFC fighter would have chance.
Seeing Minowa taking on Tony Robbins (ahem* Silva) is the best motivating lesson one could ever have.

Wow dudes & dudettes I almost forgot about Giant Silva now this Giant use to be in WWF Era knowing it took two different Pro Wrestling Trainers such as: [Dory Funk Jr & Tom Prichard] to train Giant Silva but this Giant didn't stick around the Pro Wrestling business and went off to become a MMA Fighter but this big dude took a crash course in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under two: [Gracie Family Members] to train Giant Silva but surprisingly this dude is still around and kicking it still at his age of 60 but it was surprisingly he lost to a shorter dude name: [Ikuhisa Minowa] but I respect this Giant dude that he came this far like any other fighters before him he did what he set out to do to make it happen for himself but the beginning of this Giant career he should have taken up Boxing training or Kickboxing or both Boxing & Kickboxing trainings to really hold his own against any other mma fighters but Surprisingly he still holding his own with both Pro Wrestling & Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu but now or days he is retired let's just he's been retired since 2011 working at some bar joint as bouncer that is all he doing nowadays he maybe retired but he'll be my kind of a mma fighter always don't you think so dudes & dudettes.!?¡¿ ♤♡♧◇€£₩¥☆

i've always say that they should bring it back. you can never count someone out just because of weight or height. a champion in open weight with pride rules is the real king off fighters. someone has to bring it back or at least make a tournament once a year where its open weight and all the best fighters join worldwide no restrictions

Silva would've done better in the World Wrestling Federation. I think the only reason he didn't have a shot there was because it was the Attitude Era. If he'd arrived a few years earlier and was promoted as an unstoppable monster, he would've been a lot more successful in the west.

He was there originally. In the 90s as part of the Oddities with kurrgan ( who interestingly went on to play the Uber Immortal in 300 and the Giant in the Robert Downey Jr Sherlock Holmes)

The giant is more of a freak show than a fighter. He hasn't had much of a career as a professional fighter, with his record being mostly made up of losses. He used to play basketball and was part of the WWF(now WWE).

Minowa deserve credit for cunning and wise plan to shoot for the leg by faking over hand round house punch everytime he begin squatting. And then he opened giants face to massive knee shot by getting giant fosused on painful gut bombs. He had a good plan and it rolled out well.

Gigantism is a disability for a reason. His body can barely function with his organs running overtime just to keep him alive. Doesn’t leave much room for him to be explosive
I guess it's possible to be too big to fight. Guy just stood still and couldn't bring himself to even try to move away when the other guy came with the takedown.
