Incredible!!!! Today I was just thinking about you people that invest info into RUclips for the American public. My wife pump stays on with the key off and kills her battery. I never seen a unit like this before until now. I Thank My Dear GOD for you people that learn things and share. Now I will try to share what I've learned, especially things I have learned that is not already on RUclips or if not done easier than my technic. I did not think this unit would be here but..... Thx.
Thank you for your video! I just walked out to my Expedition and pulled the fuse as you have shown. This stopped the pump! Now I can send in the module for repair. A shop near me wanted $1800 for this repair, and said the module cost $700.
Ugh I'm so glad I found this. My 09 350 just started doing this. Killed my battery so I started pulling the negative off the battery. I don't care about abs so this is great
OMG U SAVED MY LIFE, THANK U for posting this video, it was exactly the problem in my 2001 ford escape, i have no idea y it started when it had been running fine, then next morning dead battery. My son and i were watching your video and he went right at to my car at 1am and pulled that fuse and problem solved immediately, unfortantely now i have no excuse i have to go to work.......but you saved me time to save up money to solve the problem. Thank you very much again.
I have a 2008 chevy equinox and it started doing the same humming noise, So can I just pull the Abs motor fuse and use my car safely until the new part arrives? thanks
@@Mudford I sent it to Dave in Minnesota, its taken months to find out he can't fix the box. We really don't care about the ABS working, but do I need the box back or can everything work without the fuse & troublesome box?
@@roscoecoltrane7439 I know your comment is old, but did you ever get an answer to it on whether or not you can operate your vehicle without the ABS fuse or ABS module?
Don't need to cut a hole, cut the whole top lid off. Resoldering the pins is one of the simplest jobs. Very satisfying. There are other vids out there that clearly identify which pins to hit.

Does the ABS module have to be reprogrammed after being repaired

thanks for posting this video very helpful
Thank you brother 🎉
Thank you so much for this vid, very well explained and very helpful
If i take the top off will it leak break fluid
Very helpful, thanks!
Do you have contact information for who rebuilt it
Din you have a code for the abs because i have the same problem and i dont have a code
Sandi Rodriguez It’s been awhile. I don’t think so. If the pump doesn’t stop running even with the key off, I think you are having the same problem.
C1096 code
So its not the pump thats gone bad, just the module?
Bryan Peterson You are correct. That’s the way mine was and a lot of other people that commented anyway.
@@Mudford - Mine just started doing this today - so thanks much for the video.

thanks 😊
My 2000 Expedition 5.4 has a 50amp fuse
Tom Christian so did mine i just pulled it out and the fan stopped running
Great vid but it wasn’t repair and diagnose it was diagnose and replace since you sent it out to get repaired
I live in Minnesota. You got ripped off lol. They commonly go out in the road salt states. YOu cut a hole in the side and resolder some leads. :P
Where do you cut the hole?

I am in need for a tutorial for this. Video or instruction page? Link?
@@DiscoFang please direct me to that information
