A couple of things I wish they would’ve kept from the book that just would’ve added so much more. CONTAINS SOME SPOILERS 1. truly casting actors who are typically beautiful for Sophie. And typically unattractive for Agatha. No one‘s gonna believe that Sofia Wylie is ugly. 2. showing all of the things Sophie did to show Tedros that she was good.( such as holding beauty classes for the Nevers and Showing how much Agatha cheated to help Sophie and her classes so she wouldn’t fail and get turned into something.) 3. My favorite scene when professor Dovey takes Agatha into her office, and makes her look in the mirror because Agatha never looks in the mirror. “And then makes her beautiful”( it’s heart wrenching). 4 expanding more on when Agatha turned the wish fish back into a girl. After she return the girl back to her body,Every single animal and creature started to stampeded her. Because they wanted her to do the same for them. That was important. 5. Tedros attempting to shoot Agatha because Sophie manipulated him into thinking Agatha was evil. 6. Just how important the grading system was in the book. 7. Truly showing how selfish and evil Sophie is i.e. the doom room scene where she literally “ takes Care” of her of the person who cuts her hair.
Unfortunately the audience is much more shallow than that, so they can't make the protagonist ugly. Look at how people trash Lupita Nyongo despite being a lot like Agatha in real life: beautiful, selfless, endearing etc. At the end of the day conventional Eurocentric beauty standards rule
Additionally, the scene that I loved most in Book 1 was cut: [SPOILER] When Agatha showed her wishing powers as her talent (the wolves being the failed Ever students, and the fairies being the failed Never students). That scene was the most empowering, as t’was the first introduction (and their entrance) into Agatha being Good, and Sophie being Evil. The way Agatha silenced the room, and made her speech. Plus, instead of “attacking” Sophie physically, Tedros’ attacked her emotionally, by proposing to Agatha for the Evers Ball.
@@suzygirl1843 Lupita Nyongo is Beautiful so I doing understand what you are trying g to say. If you are talking about that she is a dark-skinned women and society and Hollywood have always made that seam like a bad thing. Then that is one thing, but it sound like you are saying she is not pretty and no one finds her attractive. Which is untrue, yes she is not the beauty standard but she is seen as attractive. Unlike Agatha who is not even when she is seen as good.
@@Eclecticlly No. You got it right the first time. Lupita IS beautiful but Hollywood and European standards of beauty say otherwise and they can't throw their actors under the bus with dialogue like that in the film. Of course Agatha actress is pretty but it's sometime more harmful to suspend disbelief when we are under a toxic social climate.
I hate how the film portrays them, in the books they hate each other until Agatha saves him. In the film they're so obviously into each other from the start. The whole point is that agatha starts off incredibly unlikeable and Tedros being a pompous Prince struggles to look past that even though at every turn they're pushed towards each other. I'm 20 now and I first read the books when I was 13, I've been waiting for the film to come out for years, and aside from caruso and wylies potrail of the characters I'm kinda disappointed in this film 😥
I'm so glad I'm not the only one! I feel the same way. I was also 13 when I read the first book and am now 20 and was so excited when the movie finally came out. It really disappointed me to see their relationship ,,like that". Agatha was always disgusted by the thought of having her own prince and quite gloomy and pessimistic. And the thing that also made Tedros in the books was that he was influenced by the look of Sophie and Agatha. Sophie was beautiful, which was largely what his interest was based on, and Agatha just looked like a typical witch to him. (Honestly, Agatha always gave me such an emo vibe in the book^^)and it wasn't until Agatha accepted herself that her beauty really came out. It's a shame they couldn't put that in the film. The scene where she stood in front of the mirror crying and realized that she had been beautiful her whole life sent such an important message.
In the books he hates her and bullies her their whole first year until she “becomes pretty”. There is one point where he makes a pillow of her for him and his buddies to use for target practice because she punched him for killing the gargoyle. He also talked about wanting to burn or hang her as a witch after she made fun of him. He was absolutely vicious to her and then suddenly started being in love with her after one scene. This is better in my opinion because it gives them a foundation for a relationship
@@angeloflilies6453 I liked the relationship in the movie too, but actually think it's better in the books. It just shows the false morality of the Ever and that the good guys are not as good as their reputation. I liked the change in Tedros, how he realized at the end that he always chose her und was interested, but was too stuck in this stereotype that the schools put the kids in. In the books it was much about the outer appearance and that in the end only the inner values counted. (Agatha was still the same, only that her self-confidence and her smile made her ,,beautiful".)Tedros fell in love with her in the end because she was so natural and not superficial. She was the only one who didn't adore him and thus "brought him down" a bit. Especially in the third book, you realize that their relationship is not based on appearances, but it's really about that acceptance, that they see each other and understand each other as they really are. It was just the change from both sides that I loved about the books.
Honestly, if you watch the movie, Agatha didn't like him at first. She didn't care at all. So I like that scene that she still chose Sophie over him. That just proves that even though she kissed him, she's still not that into him.
I think a reason why Sophie was never a real princess was because she always dreamed of “having a prince” and etc. and also because she had the elegant hair and looks. But Agatha being named a witch her whole life was the real princess because she had a pure heart and wanted a “home for everybody” which is what she wished for in the lake.
Sorry but , Agatha deserves way better than Tedros, he s not feel guilty when he kill Gregor?and... Gregor want to go home, a humble prince,i'm sad....

DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS!!! . I'm sorry but the part where Tedros killed Gregor is the point where I started to not like Tedros anymore..Is he stupid or what.. in fact, isn't that bird like the one who delivers students to the school so even if he didn't knew it was Gregor and thought it was a just a bird, he should've atleast thought about not killing the school's bird in the first place.. And he's such a one dimensional character. Every scene he was in was honestly corny to me. This is just my opinion so don't be offended.
Oh i was furious for what he did to Gregor , but Tedros did NOT know it was him. (⚠️SPOILER ALERT⚠️) In the movie, it's clear how guilty he looked after discovering that the stymph he killed was actually Gregor, and props to Aggie's right hook. Thank goodness she came along and made him wanting to change for her. He's a decent guy near the end, people
@@gloriamalotau8546 what scene exactly? I didn't see him guilty for a second, even after finding out it was Gregor. Tedros was just a douche the entire movie. Gregor deserved better 😭
There should have another movie, and that is a school of good and evil 2 movies. Also, l always know Tedros and Agatha we're meant together❤❤❤❤. I like how Tedores said Agatha was his true love, and he loves her.
The only time I wheezed to the point of tears during this movie was during the kiss cause I have a picture of my friend and his girlfriend kissing in the same position and i thought it was hilarious. Sorry; off topic i know
Ya know what, i never like tedros in the books, he look kinda dumb lol, so 2 dimensional, In the movie however, they made tedros interested in agatha at the very first time they met, he's very sweet, and goofy, he also nice to her, which i found it kinda cute, cause in the book they both hated each other, just in the beginning of course, Anyways, i still wish they made agatha kick tedros in that first meeting, just for fun, to showing agatha is behaving not like any princesses, and not like any other girls he'd met before, she is special, she is fierceeeee LOL
For non-readears, in the second book, If Agatha had stayed with Tedros, the school of good and evil would not have changed to being a school for boys, and another for girls, since Agatha chose her best friend as her happy ending instead of her prince, which affects the balance and makes the boys less important. Where the girls are more superior than the boys, and what makes Sophie and Agatha Go back to school is Agatha's wish, having chosen to stay with her prince.
Agatha is the true princess a real princess only needs/wants: .kindness .a bff .a family What a princess doesn’t need: .a Prince/love .beauty .a castle All a princess needs to do is be kind(: Agatha has all of that All the other girls just want love Agatha is the true and only princess in the whole film!
i guess all people who have watched the film was confused and curious about the ending scene and i am too so maybe there's a sequel but i am hoping and expecting for a sequel as well. I suspected that Tedros might be the one who thrown the arrow and the knife that was purposely aimed at the tree. Maybe Tedros found a way to enter "Gavaldon" to look for Agatha.
@@jeonghanforheadniajay yeah i heard like he sounded in a deep voice that was unrecognizable but i don't know for sure if that was Tedros cause the voice that was heard was unrevealed and anonymous but I'm pretty that the knife and the arrow belongs to Tedros so maybe there will be a sequel for the film but i sure hope there will be a sequel.

Additionally, the scene that I loved most in Book 1 was cut:
[SPOILER]
When Agatha showed her wishing powers as her talent (the wolves being the failed Ever students, and the fairies being the failed Never students).
@@suzygirl1843 a lot of people think lupita is beautiful. Never heard anyone say she's ugly.
Linda pelicula hermosa pareja Tedros y Agatha que sentimientos tan reales puros amistad entre Agatha y Sophie
ADORE THEM
it was sooooooooo good
Waiting for part 2 😍😍
İt is so good😍
Agatha es uno de los mejores personajes que he visto, simplemente me ENCANTÓ ❤️🩹✨
Anyone else thinks Tedros looks like a shorter, younger version of Peter Kavinsky
I think he more looks like a younger Henry Cavill?
Agree
I love Agatha. She most likable character. I love Tedros is very good character too.
They are so cute together I love them 😍🤩♥️❤️💓
mana shu kinoni yana qoyib beringlar ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
She’s a Brave princess
I love how she knows Sophie isn’t evil
:o the person who played Tedros also played Neteyam in Avatar: The Way Of Water
I want a movie 2 and them together like pls 😭💯.
I felt so bad for Tedros when she left😭😭😭😭
@@angeloflilies6453 yea I definitely like how they portrayed it in the movie better. I couldn't even ship them after that. That's horrible.
Honestly, if you watch the movie, Agatha didn't like him at first. She didn't care at all. So I like that scene that she still chose Sophie over him. That just proves that even though she kissed him, she's still not that into him.
There definitely will be a second one
Looooved the book ❤❤❤❤
Tédros and Agatha in love ❤️❤️
agatha e tedros dos livros😭🛐
Neteyam!
When is the school for good and evil part 2 coming still waiting here hello this movie is a blossom it lifted my spirit and my sisters gosh🎉❤
Beautiful couple
Sorry but , Agatha deserves way better than Tedros, he s not feel guilty when he kill Gregor?and... Gregor want to go home, a humble prince,i'm sad....
I know right, Tedros is such a narcissist and toxic too, I don't understand the hype? I found Gregor way more interesting, I was sad too.
@@YuLi_R. Yess,we know why, bcose Tedros is prince charming, good looking guy, a football player type guy...
But if Gregor with Agatha, it'll be interesting, unique love story, Gregor is scardy cat n humble type prince but Agatha is d bravest princess...
I love their story and i pray their is a part 2
So so cute 😊
Lovely
The ending makes me cry 😭
It has a good ending, I just hope they love story can continue
Does that mean he ended up with her
I wish there was more tedros and agatha scenes🥺🤍🤍💗
DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS!!!
.
I'm sorry but the part where Tedros killed Gregor is the point where I started to not like Tedros anymore..Is he stupid or what.. in fact, isn't that bird like the one who delivers students to the school so even if he didn't knew it was Gregor and thought it was a just a bird, he should've atleast thought about not killing the school's bird in the first place.. And he's such a one dimensional character. Every scene he was in was honestly corny to me. This is just my opinion so don't be offended.
I agree and I was mad Gregor in my opinion was the most likable character so after that I hated tedros
Same :"
I dont really like tedros in the book but in this movie he's unforgivable
Agatha is such a good friend to Sophie
Yess :)
Buzzing out .
Sorry; off topic i know
one thing for sure--- " GOODLUCK " ...
10 minutes in to the movie and I knew I was going to like Agatha and find Sophie really annoying 😩
Same 😂 it's so obvious 🥴
Wasn't Tedros' actor in Avatar The Way of Water? He looks familiar.
Yes he is; Jamie flatters is his name
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ You will be making a video for Ricky and Gina from HSMTMTS?
Ya know what, i never like tedros in the books, he look kinda dumb lol, so 2 dimensional,
In the movie however, they made tedros interested in agatha at the very first time they met, he's very sweet, and goofy, he also nice to her, which i found it kinda cute, cause in the book they both hated each other, just in the beginning of course,
Anyways, i still wish they made agatha kick tedros in that first meeting, just for fun, to showing agatha is behaving not like any princesses, and not like any other girls he'd met before, she is special, she is fierceeeee LOL
For non-readears, in the second book, If Agatha had stayed with Tedros, the school of good and evil would not have changed to being a school for boys, and another for girls, since Agatha chose her best friend as her happy ending instead of her prince, which affects the balance and makes the boys less important. Where the girls are more superior than the boys, and what makes Sophie and Agatha Go back to school is Agatha's wish, having chosen to stay with her prince.
hey that's jamie flatters that played as neteyam in avatar
Agatha is the true princess a real princess only needs/wants:
.kindness
.a bff
.a family
What a princess doesn’t need:
.a Prince/love
.beauty
.a castle
All a princess needs to do is be kind(: Agatha has all of that
All the other girls just want love
Agatha is the true and only princess in the whole film!
I would have Sophie’s face, hair and clothes but Agathas personality and also😭😭 a best friend(I do have one)
I ship it!
Okay im so confused on the Tedros ending 😭what's with the knife and arrow and "i need you agatha"
i guess all people who have watched the film was confused and curious about the ending scene and i am too so maybe there's a sequel but i am hoping and expecting for a sequel as well. I suspected that Tedros might be the one who thrown the arrow and the knife that was purposely aimed at the tree. Maybe Tedros found a way to enter "Gavaldon" to look for Agatha.
@@zamanthanichole yeah but why they make it sound like he's evil😭i mean she did change them into bad but like idk i have a lot of theorys
Como faço pra assistir essa série?
