    So excited to see you review this Roswell mic!! I've been a huge fan of Roswell for several years and use the original Delphos in many of my videos. I freaking love it.

    Uggghhh, this has been on my dream mics list since the instant I heard about it and I think this review sealed the deal. Thanks for costing me money, Mike! 🤣🤣

    Happy to see a new video from you, Mike!
    Vintage 67 was the king of the comparison to my ear (in admittedly very open earphones though, so I wasn't grasping all the details), but K87 was nice too

    Damn, so smooth and buttery on your voice Mike! Roswell mics are no joke. I still slightly prefer the Lewitt 540 S on your voice because of the presence boost slightly adds some clarity and weight to my ears. If you were trying for warm then Roswell takes it hands down though

  • @yuranival
    @yuranival Год назад +1

    Love the warm and full-bodied sound of mini k87. Also WOAH the V67 sounds 3 times more expensive. Could tell even before you confirmed the price difference. Thank you for your review, Mike! Satisfying and informative as per usual C:

    I was wondering when you would cover Roswell! Always love your videos!
    I definitely think the mini K87 has a solid sound! Sounds flat and clean!
    I'd be curious to see you tackle the K67x or K47x and hear any differences, if any, a transformer makes on VO.

    I actually just got this mic! I really like it. I got it for recording Saxophone and some singing/voice overs (mostly for fun) after messaging the company for their suggestions and the owner Mike messaged me they this was his suggestion. I find it super easy to EQ for a warm or bright sound, even with a admittedly not great setup. I'm using a Go XLR and I have no problems right now. Anyway, I love the neutral sound and I think it brings a more "true" neutral than some of the modern alternatives that highlight the highs as you've pointed out.

      What would you say the sound of this mic is closest to any mic you have tried or heard?

    • @josephstylianou4888
      @josephstylianou4888 Год назад +1

      @@QuantumGamingUploads I haven't heard a ton of mics in person, but it has a good neutral tone. The closest thing I have to compare it to is an at2035 or an RE20, but they are all very different.

    Thanks, Mike -- great info as always! I have a question about the mic stand in this particular video. It looks like a "magic arm." Can you share your mic stand details? I'm always looking for stands that are easier to adjust. Thanks!

    Nice but for around the same money (UK) the KSM32 would still be my choice.

    How it arrives and the shock mount makes me think of the sE Electronics T2 which also arrives in a case like that, with a shock mount with an opening in the front. And the 540 is one of the microphones I was also considering when ending up with the T2.

    A very nice sound, i like those "linear" microphones, often it is easier to ad a little bit of presence with a wide EQ if needed than flatten out a "bumpy" frequency response... On the other hand the look of the housing of this particular mic reminds me a lot like those cheap chinese microphones in the 50$ range, just a little bit of unique design is what i am missing in this price point.

    It sounds good for voice over but I’m hearing little to no top end and the mid range lacks detail honestly they overcompensated cutting too much high end imo

  • @johnyang799
    @johnyang799 Год назад

    With the rolled off highs the sound is still a bit harsh and sibilant. I kinda prefer 540s and earthwork too.

    Meh…sounds dull, cheap and unflattering. OC16 and Earthworks draw in the listener.
    Lots of better options in that price range.
