Hi Blitz! Did you know that you can build out a line of those wax things, delete all but the ones making the shape you want, and plop the defenses into it. In other words you can put out a hexagon base a way away from your base, and put in defenses in those pods to increase their range and take down enemies sooner.
I hope this helps in your playthroughs of this good game
