Philly when you walk thro the streets of haiti, you know what struggle feels like. A lot of Haitians have to walk thro these streets everyday and they walk many miles to go to work. Many people can't afford public transport.

I never thought I’d be making a donation to help Haiti but after spending the afternoon watching Ace hand deliver mattresses to those sleeping on the hard dirt ground I am deeply touched. I never realized or understood the misery and hardships the Haitian people have to endure. He is truly doing God’s work. Shouldn’t we be encouraging the over 11 million Haitians to come, together, and develop their country. Why aren’t the Haitian Americans and Haitian communities in America, especially, New York City and Florida coming together to create programs and investments to help develop Haiti and give rid of the poverty, there. 11 million Haitians in Haiti and the country is still poor and in poverty. It would be nice if some of our black owned businesses, such as engineers, electrical, plumbing and sanitation companies, would volunteer their time to come and access, and offer solutions to help people. Then we can donate money to allow them solve some of the problems. The US has companies with old dump trucks that would help with sanitation. They just need designated land fills. And learn to recycle items.
You should see if you can find some engineers to help redesign those concrete cinder block houses and buildings that collapse, and kill people, during earth quakes. I was wondering if spraying gunite concrete on expanded metal reinforcement might be a better solution. it requires specialized equipment, but they could recycle much of the broken concrete. I don't wish those folks bad, but I my self wouldn't touch that place with a 10 foot pole...
