  • Starting from scratch create a working alignment stored in GEOPAK.
It is important to set up files and GPK correctly. This web page provides and excessive amount of information on the topic. The most important key is to get your gpk and project files created using the project manager.

It would also be helpful to have knowledge of where your MicroStation program is installed so you can access libraries, drafting standards etc.

Nice video man, however I’m having trouble when I begin to store my points, I can’t seem to lock into the beginning point. It looks like you use a tangent snap or something along those lines but I can’t get my microstation to identify that beginning point it’s just choosing some arbitrary point around that area I think. Let me know if you can explain how to store that first point in more detail, thanks!

There is a snap setting that locks onto endpoints of lines which might help also I have my system set up so a right + left click at the same time will lock onto the nearest keypoint, so the closest end point or midpoint depending.
