There is one additional thing you should add. After the final two Ferostorms (nails), prior to him jumping to begin casting the enrage, there is a knockback mechanic that needs to be handled. If you're not prepared for it it can lead to a damn frustrating wipe. Other than that, very much enjoying your guides they are very explanatory and well done, thank you.
I'll just repeat what pretty much everyone else already said: the way you handle your guide videos with detailed explanations and pausing at each mechanic is great. Makes it very easy to follow and understand each section of a fight. Excellent work, thanks a ton.
Hey, just wanted to say that I love this style of "guide", I actually end up remembering and understanding the fight much faster then typical guide videos. Great work :D
i prefer this kind of guide rather than the short ones. this helps me understand the fight better and generate ideas of how to deal with some mechanics.
Thank you for the detailed explanation of the raid! Loved the concise presentation as well as direct explanation of the mechanics! Looking forward for more of your contents in the future!
Love the way you make your video guides man! Really helps us a lot, so detailed, clear and straight to the point. Looking forward to more of your FFXIV videos.
Thanks, just cleared e5s with your guide. The pacing is just right for me especially with the rewinding of the gameplay footage for important mechanics. Hope to do the same too with the other savage raids!
Again, thank you for the guide, gonna take some time to learn and get familiar with it. Gotta love that they gave thanks tasks and made the fight more interesting/challenging for them.
Thank you so much for these videos! I love them. I had to leave my static after last tier, and so these guides have been really helpful for getting into other groups.
An easier way to pre-plan the dps enumerations where it's your tether partner is to assign a single dps on either 2 or 4, and whoever is tethered to them will go there, whilst the other 2 will go on the other marker. Helps keep voice chat down at that point which helped my static a lot!
The Ifrit tether cut during the duo phase is actually pretty safe, the first hit does not deal lethal damage to party members. While someone will take a bunch of damage, there is no AOE damage outgoing at the time. It only sucks on uptime a bit because Ifrit will be zooming to someone random. But this way a random player and the tank on Ifrit will have only 1 stack of Lightheaded instead of the full concussion.
I never expected to see better videos then MTQ capture... That was awesome. Now.. if you want to go a little further.. may i suggest showing different strats for each phases ? i know it makes the job a lot harder... but perhaps you will gain more followers. You just gained me anyway. Subscribed :P
Tested it, if you are not a paladin you can still take the tankbuster of ifrit solo on the dual ifrit-garuda phase, but you still have concussion debuff because you still take damage, so you will 100% get knocked on the air. You need to not take damage on the Hands of Flame to not get concussion debuff.
1:27 Untethered players should not stack on the players with tethers because that makes them take unnecessary damage. Instead they should move to a cardinal position like the PLD does at 22:45.
it's actually okay, they'll take the same amount of damage as the tethered players and there is no threat for upcoming damage on that phase, as a healer, healing 4 people and 8 people costs the same amount of effort (aoe heal) and you might argue that those "unnecessary damage" will build more LB meter.
Thank you, very nice guide! I think for the last enumeration you could have the tethered dps on markers and tank/healer on cardinal, sligthly toward their dps, so the enumeration aoe will be on cardinals and you have all the tether way free from aoe while still have uptime for the tanks. What do you think?
I believe in part 21:15 the chain mechanic will be gone right before the the pair mechanic.. so you can go to your assigned number.. dont quote me on that.. :v I have to test it again tomorrow.. but you can see the chain debuff gone before the stack
While this is true, the targeted players differ during that phase - it's always one of the 2 tethered players of each pair. If you go to your number, you'd end up with 2 Enumerations in one spot, unless you're super lucky.
I guess its aggro from what they had before coz when tank die and he was 1st on garuda at the begining garuda will go for next person who was on top after disappearing
Hello, i have been told to anchor at a certain point of the fight many times by different party but was never told when and how. can you explain it to me why's anchor needed?
Anchor during the tornado phase just means that person and whoever they're chained to will go to a specific side for the following mechanic. (The full arena donut)
@@IlyaDalamiq as far as I can tell, it seems to be either far left or far right, which ever one is kicking it back to the ifrit next to it is the safe one
we found out after prog that it can be both clockwise OR anticlockwise so try to find a "congaline" of ifrits looking at the previous one, the last one in the line will be your safespot (dunno how else to explain this without a picture D:)
it's random yes (found that out after making the guide D:) they can go either clockwise or counterclockwise, depending on which one it is, you need to look in the other direction for your safespot
if you get hit by another mechanic you will either get concussion (stunned), or you get thrown into the air, i believe it has to do with what mechanic hits you
i've found out (through someone in the comments) that it's actually random how the bosses will kick the balls (my group has had the clockwise one every time during prog so got unlucky with that) basically if they're kicking the balls in a clockwise fashion, then the last ifrit that is kicking when looking counterclockwise is your safespot (looking from the middle of the arena outwards). and if they kick counterclockwise, then the most clockwise ifrit is your safespot.
If the left most ifrit does not kick a fireball, then where do you go? are there any easy way to see a safe spot? I can't look at all of them to calculate where the safespot is, that I do not have time for at all...
let me rephrase, the leftmost ifrit that "kicks" a ball is the safespot i realize that i didn't mention that fact since in our clear the leftmost ifrit was also kicking a ball ^^"
Brilliant guide thank you! Can you be a little more specific and tell me where the direction left is based on? Which side is left and which side is right? It changes depending on where you are looking
yea i found out after i made the guide, that it can be either the leftmost ifrit, or the rightmost one (we just always had left during prog which is why i didn't know about it) you can kinda look at it like this, a bunch of ifrits will form kind of like a chain and they will kick the ball to the ifrit in front of them, the last one in the chain is your safespot
Please don’t use this guide. Too much missing information, assumptions and they way tethers are handled is very messy (tanks and healers always go north, dps always south. Look up the one called EZPZ who had the best Eden Savage guides I’ve seen so far and shorter than this one too.

agreed. me too.
agree'd, it's without all the showy crap the other guides typically have.
definitely! love it!
yeah really well explained. Now I'm a lot closer to understand the mechanics instead of rushing through them :)

Cutting the tether at 14:00 actually I've found is way easier to deal with cause the hit Ifrit does is super minimal.
