Mega Nerd That doesn't work that well. What you gotta do is the high jump into two hard Psycho energy punches and then the slide over and over again. Pure skill. (Not really but it works.)
I had the same issue with my Sub-Zero. His arm just fell off as soon as I unboxed him. Luckily I contacted Storm and they were great. They sent me a replacement out. I had a similar issue with Ryu. One of his hands wouldn't stay on. They also sent me a replacement arm for him too. It wasn't the socket that was the issue, it was the ball on the joint.
Anthony, these small toy companies just don't have the budget or resources to make quality action figures like a Hasbro or Mattel. Their sculpting and paint work is definitely leaps and bounds above the larger toy companies, but the QC issues overshadows everything I just said. I also understand the higher price point for these action figures too, because of the companies being so minuscule. It is very frustrating for all of us collectors, because we spend so much money on our hobby. I completely agree that we deserve a quality product.
Very interesting review, Anthony. The rumor about why the shoulder peg is cracked is kind of fascinating to me (the whole cost-cutting thing sounds plausible), and it is indeed a big deal if it's the case moving forward. If it's not and it's just a mistake, it's still quite a huge one if it also happened with previous releases: most of us buy "action figures" instead of statues while fully knowing they won't ever look "as good" or "expensive" at first sight, but because we love the fact that you can pose them in different ways and recreate stuff you liked from the franchise it's based upon, not to mention having tons of characters interacting instead of a couple of big ones in different sizes. Having a figure with either clunky articulation (unless the design is already too clunky) or joints that are prone to break because of bad decisions is imo a deal breaker. Having said that, trust me when I tell you no matter the amount of good arguments you present here, some ppl will convince themselves you're exaggerating and that their purchase was a great one. Despite all its issues, you seem to like the line so I hope they get better in the future for the sake of your collection.
I got this one and later got the newer one in black and gold. They stand on shelves on both sides of my living room. I call them Bison East and Bison West. 😜
Just got mine. My biggest complaint is the paint, I don't like the way the black has pooled in some areas. And his legs look off. Love the Ryu I got, this one is just okay. I'm looking forward to the other figures in this line, so I hope they fix up the QC issues. As always, great review!
phew! Thanks for info about the shoulders. Joint quality is a huge deal for me. Especially when it comes to regular friction joints. For 75 bucks this should not be a problem. Hopefully they change the type of plastic before they release the big Russian dude and Chun Li.
this info was very helpful my dude...I appreciate how you went into great detail about this cause I am really trying to decide if I want to purchase storm collectables or SH...I'm still leaning towards Storm.
StarBlast Studios u're crazy if u think they're as bad as Mafex. Mafex figures rarely look like the prototypes. Storm Collectibles is still a really new company that's still learning, so minor QC issues in the "beginning" are to be expected. Now, if they can't correct these QC issues on their future figures, then that's a problem.
Okay everyone, please reread what I said . I did not say that they are as bad as mafex, I said they are as controversial as them. Mafex has a a lot of issues, but so does storm. And even tho the issues with mafex out weighs the issues with storm, the controversy around each line is what makes my point valid.
Hey! You mentioned the rumor, cool. To me, looking at it so close--thanks for that btw--wouldn't the socket crack from inside to out rather than the way it is if it cracked due to putting in the ball? It's not acceptable, but that could definitely be intentional. Makes sense if they produced every piece and then realized there was a problem when putting it together. Factory might have even suggested it. Cost would be rather huge, could hurt a company getting off it's feet. You just hope they learn either way (actual break.intentional) and move forward with better knowledge. Thanks, man.
yeah.. i mean, it's impossible to say how it should have broken because the mold design would affect that but if they were using the proper viscosity POM, it wouldnt have been an issue in the first place...and of course having the socket be the proper design would help prevent breaks.
Yeah, it could be one of those factors, because if the viscosity is off, the POM may have gotten too hard, preventing it from achieving the proper give causing breaks. or if it's a design flaw, making it too small, then boom same result. Again, either way here's hoping for good things from the line going forward.
To be honest, I don't pose my figures all too much, I just pose em once and keep them like that so I'll pick up this figure even after knowing these QC issues. I think the figure looks great and would be nice across my desk from the Storm Collectibles Ryu.
i dont make this stuff up. lol people like to make excuses and argue that i just have bad luck but i know what im talking about. i have around 10 different sc figures now and all of them have broken sockets.
Anthony! Do you still do customs for people? If so, when the storm collectables Alex Figure comes out would you be able to make a SFIII 3rd Strike version if I send it to you? I'll send you a Resaurus Alex figure also to use some pieces from it, like the overalls and hair.
+Gabriel Arellano there's no feeling involved. I showed you the problem and explained it... The "cracks"are not in the same places on each figure and you can tell they weren't molded that way. I don't understand why people feel the need to argue about stuff you can see right on the screen...
It's fucking nuts that you seem to like the figure despite being able to say out loud that they broke it on purpose. On the other hand, I guess it's like a testament to how nice the figures are paint and sculpt-wise. I have 2P Ryu and definitely plan on buying Dictator and the rest even though that shoulder issue is unacceptable. If they shore up these QC issues this is going to be one of my favorite lines.
Hey Anthony,My mbison wrist peg broke and i was wondering if you have any extra or can u make me a wrist peg for that specific figure. If you can how much would your charge or if you have any extra how much would you charge? The figure is nothing if the wrist peg is broken. Please help Anthony!!!
because it only helps people who have those specific figures whereas every can use the ruler measurement to compare against any other figure they want.
Can't agree. Comparison is about way more than just height. Physically seeing two figures together will always beat using a ruler. Even if you don't own that particular Marvel Legends, chances are you'll own another very similar. And with these rarer, more expensive purchases such as Storm Collectible's M Bison, it's almost integral before committing to buy.
Are the Mortal Kombat figures starting to fall apart too? I had a Sub-Zero on pre-order but should I cancel that if those joints are just going to break? :(
Just bought my Bison and Ryu this past week. Love both the figures but they aren't without problems. I have the same right bicep issue with Bison. Also his bottom ball socket is extremely loose and floppy. Did Storm agree to send you a new arm or bicep?
my tactic for m.bison is that leg power slide that he does and just keep doing. I wonder why no one plays street fighter with me anymore
lol
Mega Nerd That doesn't work that well. What you gotta do is the high jump into two hard Psycho energy punches and then the slide over and over again. Pure skill. (Not really but it works.)
Abare Black haha OK I'll try that
If you did that you would get punished over and over, I guarantee you don't play online.
This tomato looks good.

I bought this figure last night I really did not notice any of the issues but maybe thats because I love it so much lol I will have to check now

The excuses people make are astounding sometimes. accept the flaws and like it for other reasons. ignoring flaws will only lead to more bad qc.
AnthonysCustoms Thanks for being so comprehensive with your reviews man. It is necessary for our hobby!
thanks a lot for the support
I got this one and later got the newer one in black and gold.
They stand on shelves on both sides of my living room.
I call them Bison East and Bison West. 😜

As always, great review!
Mafex, Neca Toys, Mcfarlane Toys, Play Arts Kai, have all had a history of QC issues.
Great figure, bummer about the QC issues though. Where did you see the rumors about PCS doing street fighter figures?
Jefrandz it's going to be 1/6 scale, just Google it. They have shown pic of Ryu n Akuma.
+Jefrandz no. They have talked about doing smaller ones too
looked online but couldnt find anything on this. Would be rad if it comes to fruition though
phew! Thanks for info about the shoulders. Joint quality is a huge deal for me. Especially when it comes to regular friction joints. For 75 bucks this should not be a problem. Hopefully they change the type of plastic before they release the big Russian dude and Chun Li.
I have the same problem with my bison on the shoulders too.
That figure looks incredible. Would love if the sh figuarts dbz range was as big as these
Dare I say... It looks DELICIOUS!!!
nice to see the comparison with marvel legends, great review man
this info was very helpful my dude...I appreciate how you went into great detail about this cause I am really trying to decide if I want to purchase storm collectables or SH...I'm still leaning towards Storm.
Just got him in the mail. Amazing figure. Cant wait for chun li. Great review
Holy crap! the storm toy company is beginning to be as controversial as mafex! Damn!
not as bad as mafex at all
StarBlast Studios u're crazy if u think they're as bad as Mafex. Mafex figures rarely look like the prototypes. yeah but the comparison is still way off since mafex are not even well designed and literally fall apart lol
He looks so dope with folded arms!
Hey! You mentioned the rumor, cool. exactly
nice tht ur doing size comparison. again inches in height is only 1 aspect. bulk, witdth, paint all tht is helpful in size comparison
+BIGLARRY100 you want the weight too?
To be honest, I don't pose my figures all too much, I just pose em once and keep them like that so I'll pick up this figure even after knowing these QC issues. I think the figure looks great and would be nice across my desk from the Storm Collectibles Ryu.
enjoy
Where can i get these? I can never find them and when i find one its a good £100 and i aint got that money
I've learned form my collecting years that u rarely get a figure thats perfect. If its not one thing its another.
Yeah. Budgets mean no perfection.
Thanks for the review, I'm going to get them all from each company
i am too
You are totally right, my MK ninjas have stress marks and that's bullshit for $50 action figures.
i dont make this stuff up. lol people like to make excuses and argue that i just have bad luck but i know what im talking about. i have around 10 different sc figures now and all of them have broken sockets.
I meant bullshit from SC,
Also they don't answer on facebook.

maybe have the sholdur pieces be a little softer to avoid cracks. penny for your thoughts
hard is fine.. it just needs to be the right kind of plastic.
AnthonysCustoms makes sense. thanks for your thoughts
I feel like the crack was intentional. To me it doesn't look like an accident. And great review like always.
+Gabriel Arellano there's no feeling involved. I showed you the problem and explained it... The "cracks"are not in the same places on each figure and you can tell they weren't molded that way. I don't understand why people feel the need to argue about stuff you can see right on the screen...
AnthonysCustoms
UPDATE VIDEO: “Uh yeah he called me and said it was an intentional design choice”
Hope Figuarts does one
my spider man has really loose hips as well and he went from package to shelf
Any tips on how to "carefully" change the skirt? 🤔
Now I'm a little worried about the Zangief I pre-ordered.... Hmmm.
It's fucking nuts that you seem to like the figure despite being able to say out loud that they broke it on purpose. YES!!!

13oogie xD
not trying to criticize, but may I ask, why is it impractical to compare figures. Just wondering. great review as usual
because it only helps people who have those specific figures whereas every can use the ruler measurement to compare against any other figure they want.
AnthonysCustoms true that my man
Can't agree. Comparison is about way more than just height. Physically seeing two figures together will always beat using a ruler. Great review Anthony!!! I love this line. I really hope Storm gets their shit together...
thanks. me too
very informative...as always..
when I went on to Facebook I saw storm collectibles making Noob Saibot
yep
I have one question did you ever heard a figma izuku midoriya
nope
you should look it up on Google
nice review, by the way are you going to get the revoltech amazing yamaguchi venom?
nope
Where can I buy that Awesome Storm Collectibles M. Bison?
Storm is too comfortable shipping products with QC issues. They put out a Mike Tyson piece that was a total disaster, scared my money away
Do they have a retro ken?
not yet
Fantastic review as always.
thanks a lot
Are the Mortal Kombat figures starting to fall apart too? I had a Sub-Zero on pre-order but should I cancel that if those joints are just going to break? :(
they all have the same issue with the sockets stressing or cracking but they dont fall apart.
I just paid $57 for this bison, hopefully I dont regret it...
enjoy
Just bought my Bison and Ryu this past week. Love both the figures but they aren't without problems. I have the same right bicep issue with Bison. Also his bottom ball socket is extremely loose and floppy. Did Storm agree to send you a new arm or bicep?
will you get the storm collectibles noob saibot? I'd like to get it, but I always watch your reviews before I buy something. great video btw
i will
AnthonysCustoms 👍
can it do the psycho-crusher pose?
eh..not sure. didnt try but the shoulder pieces dont rotate fully so theyd need to flex a lot.
Why does that say M Bison if that's a figure of Vega?
The shoulder issue is a break-deal
jerry macaluso is doing a new line for streetfighter? for real?
+Glover dragon he said he wants to (not the 1/6 line. Something smaller)
hmmm, very interesting. Thanks for the info!.
neutral face looks more like sagat
+raidenkeify it does
sweet
I hv one question can he do psycho crusher stance with his arms
+Liege Lord haven't tried. Probably
What's up with the vega why dose it say that
Epic Flying Lion vega is bisons name in japan

Llo si de mexico
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

How do we get our own custom designed figures?
Brown Sugar You contact him. Anthony's info is in the description of all his videos.
emailed him a while ago
Probably a long line ahead of you.
y la capa
His hair needs to be black.
shartimus prime is better
Yet you're here.
I was sus about this line from the beginning, it had that too good to be true vibe.
they can still improve.
Fingers crossed
Storm is known for QC issues
XXTROB So is NECA
I'm disappointed in this line sold of Scorpion and SubZero...............
18 minutos y no mostraste nada de la figura
what?
AnthonysCustoms probably talking about the length of thr review
"18 minutes and he didn't showed anything of the figure"
el explico muchas cosas en el video que no se pueden ver solo mirando el video, es nesesario escucharlo
lol...um... if i didn't show the figure, what was that on the screen the whole time?
