    The Unlocking Our Sound Heritage (UOSH) Midlands Hub was based in the library at the University of Leicester from 2018-2021. Over the course of the project, we preserved more than 4,500 recordings from collections across the Midlands. These included oral histories, radio programmes, speeches, music, and more. Many volunteers and student placements helped us and learnt how to digitise ‘at risk’ analogue recordings, how to catalogue sound, and how to use sound recordings.
