As I child I always wanted to know more about these trolley whenever I saw them on track. Railway track was near my home and I used to watch these with interest. Thanks for excellent explanation. I am 65 years old. Keep posting more information on railway.
Nicely explained. Earlier it used to be pushed by 2 persons. Very laborious then. Now motor is timely addition. Speed also increased. These do not follow signalling system and when some train approaches the trolley was quickly removed from track. This I have seen. Total weight looks around 3.5 quintal.
What is the unladen weight of the trolley because it is easily lifted by two or four persons. And previously there used be mechanised operated trolley where two men used to manually operate by pushing a handle like thing up and down then the trolley used to move.
Its weight is approximately 300 kg and there is some luggage. So the weight increases a little more and it takes 6 people to lift it. Thanks 🙏 for watching
