Fact is Canadian government issuing student visas as they have some limit to it and they want to fill vacant seats in Canadian educational institutes and make institute financially strong. And as per your claim , the fact seems to be Canadian students who are living there are not able to compete with immigrant students and thus not able to crack jobs. Or there is scarcity of skilled people in Canada and that's why the industries run by Canadian Businessman have no choice but to depend on immigrant for those skill sets. However , such industries , still have majority Canadian working in it. Ask your Government to not issue student Visas and make strict rules to give priority to Canadians who are either British or French origin (as it seems you don't consider them immigrants to land now called Canada) please get this rules implemented , so that world can be aware of how Canada want to interact with rest of the world , so that rest of the world would take decisions accordingly.

I grew up with friends who spoke English in the school yard... but spoke their respective mother tongues at home. I believe you have to get educated on history. Europeans moved to Canada during different timelines/events in history. None of them moved illegally because Canada required population growth and Canada had various immigration programs during different timelines in history. The lady was definitely being racist. Canada does have a racism issue because of the old colonizer past. However, there are millions of people who are not racist, and want to welcome people from all over the world into Canada. This works well if everyone is respectful and considerate to each other. Canada does have laws that protect Human Rights to dissuade racism. The current problem facing Indians is that a lot of non-students came in through fraudulent methods, and have taken jobs that the locals rely on. Especially students.
