A felting needle is perfect for gently locking those stuffing fibres down out of the way of the closing. It does not take many stabs at all to stop the fibres from rising back up.
Does the interfacing need a seem allowance? Is the interfacing to be ironed on and you might like to mention not to trace your interfacing with the disappearing pen as it disappears before you can cut it out 🤦♀️

Really packed firm (so it kind of feels like 'Granny Smith apple' hardness), firm but a bit 'prod-able' (kind of satsuma or clementine hardness), or an evenly stuffed soft but not baggy or saggy (like a marshmallow or Haribo sweet)? (Hope that makes sense! 😆 )
