RE: why do they give you a mushroom to immediately take it off? It's to prevent you keeping the shellmet. When you take damage you lose the shellmet first, and with the conveyebelt it's impossible to get through the 1 high gap fast enough to not timeout.
@@synaesthesia318if you kept the Shell in that part, the saw/conveyor/1 block high made you lose it. If you lost the Shell, the mushroom prevents the saw from killing you.

Twirl-eating seems to be some frame perfect animation conflict; If some midair animation (e.g. un-ducking, throwing an item) ends on the same frame the player twirls, the twirl action doesn't happen despite the sound playing. I wish I knew if this was a thing in the New Soup games, but regardless it needs to be fixed in the unlikely event we get a Mario Maker 3 (copium)
This video feels like a metaphor for all those people who write negative reviews of games in Steam after having already played them for hundreds of hours.
i would much prefer having a beating hard level series like one level per episode than a cool super expert run being sacrificed for a singular level for 50 minutes i dont know how other people feel about this but this just feels a like a wasted episode
