I would think that would make more sense for the eternal mangekyou, since you literally can't get it without another uchiha's eyeballs, which usually would imply that person passing. since the mangekyou can be awakened due to any strong emotion, it wouldn't necessarily have to be hate or anger (even though that's all we see cause it's Naruto and their whole world is kinda horrible and militaristic so of everything is mostly horrible)

Or if you're Kakashi and Obito, until the plot forgets that neither of you have the Eternal Mangekyou and you can spam it on the level of Naruto using Shadow Clones. Yeah, Kishimoto and Boruto writers seemed to have butchered dojutsu. Used to be the most hype thing when I was a kid watching OG Naruto on Toonami, wondering what kinds of dojutsu there were going to be; only for it to be a whole bunch of garbage. It should never have entered the level of divinity.
It's sad how underused and underpowered Byakugan is. I even still remember someone said in season 1 that Sharingan was just a cheaper and weaker Byakugan (hence how The Hyuuga clan is hailed as the strongest clan in Konoha). It would be really cool if Byakugan has "evolutionary patterns" like Sharingan does. And Tenseigan while served as a powerful upgrade, the requirements are really specific and much harder to awaken than Rinnegan
I think you should consider that the Uchiha clan were outcasts and shunned by the rest of the village in a way. So it makes sense that people would have a better understanding of Byakugan and choose praise them more than the Uchiha clan, whether it was for social reasons or not. The immense powers of the sharingan were a mystery to the rest of the village, much like the Uchiha clan was themselves
Yeah they said that sharingan is worse but probably in relation to how they can see chakra and sharingan not, sharingan can only see chakra over all the body of the other person but Byakugan can see the flow points and centers etc
yea byakugan is better than 3 tomoe sharingan and the show keeps it that way mostly with byakugan doing everything sharingan can in 360 degree vision and barely anyone knew about mangekyo sharingan as it was forbidden in uchiha clan aswell so it kinda makes sense hyuga clan was regarded strongest
The problem with hyuuga clan is they started using byakuugan in taijutsu not ninjutsu. If they started experimenting about chakras and finding out the mysteries of it from the start, they could've mastered multiple bloodline limit (even the more advanced versions like tota, even possible 4,5)rather than a lousy taijutsu user. Byakuugan is stronger than sharingan with observing chakras, the problem is they focosed on disrupting other people chakras rather than getting stronger(observing themselves, then try to implement experiments is safer for them than others). They were originally from the otsutsuki clan having vast amounts of chakras, later became near disabled, not even able to use nature transformation.
The Byakugan of random Hyuga compared to Otsutsuki Byakugan are as far apart than sharingan and rinnegan. Otsutsuki can see people's fate with theirs, Kaguya basically read Hamura's mind with hers and I think Hamura's Byakugan is far superor to Neji's.
As till now, Boruto's Jogan has shown the ability to see dark chakra, see the oponents chakra network in HD colour vision, detect the weakest link in the chakra network, teleportation, detect ivisible portals between dimensions, predict Otsutsuki teleportation portal openings and connection to other worldly beasts (Nue). And last but not the least, the most powerful Dojutsu are Jiraiya's eyes.
Doesnt necessarily haveeee to be chakra. More so the dna of an uchiha and senju. Could be an uzumaki with an uchiha parent (doubtful) but they could awaken it (unlikely tho)

Considering the fact that the Jougan is a dojutsu which no Otsutsuki introduced till now posses, I think it is pretty rare and might be the strongest dojutsu to exist. Perhaps even stronger than the Rinnesharingan. I can't wait for Boruto to master its power
I think the ootsutsuki simply have random dojutsu sometimes, like Isshiki with his, he's also the only one we see that has it, which makes it as rare as boruto's, although of course later kawaki inherits it as well but u get what i mean. I'm sure there are more otsutsuki with the jogan and probably more otsutsuki with isshiki's dojutsu or completely other unique dojutsus

I find it interesting that the Otsutsuki God would be shown with the Jogan's instead of any other Otsutsuki Dojutsu. That must mean it's extremely powerful, to be the eyes of the Otsutsuki God.
i think without a doubt it will be part of boruto shippuden since the boruto series is more focused on the byakugan side of things unlike naruto which was heavily revolved around the sharingan

I think we could see that with Himawari. Since she should have Otusuki dna and Naruto is a Uzumaki and also got another chakra. Which means that Himawari technically would be able to be the first human to attain the Tenseigan
One thing yo got wrong is how a mangekyo is awakened. It isn't only awakened by witnessing someone you care for die but also by feeling great levels of grief. Example: If you kill someone you don't currently care for you will feel no grief and won't awaken mangekyo however if you later figure out something about that person that makes you care for them then you will feel grief and awaken the mangekyo.
I have to make a quick correction here: the MS is awakened in a moment of extreme emotional pain and trauma, not necessarily the death of a loved one. It just natural that most of these traumatic moments happened due to the death of a beloved friend or family member. An example of this is Sasuke awakening his Mangekyo not from killing Itachi, but after learning everything the Leaf Village did to him and their clan and turning all the hate he had for his brother into sadness and regret. Another example would be Sarada not witnessing a death, but THINKING that Boruto (someone she loved) was going to be killed.
Feel like you could break this system and everyone could have eternal eyes easily if you fake a traumatising event for all and then have everyone trade eyes
You forgot how the Rinnegan is created, by combining Indra and Ashura (blood, DNA or Chakras). In both instances of a Rinnegan appearing it was through either combining of Indra and Ashura's skin/DNA (Madara) or chakras and possibly some DNA (Saskue). In that way the Eternal Mangekyo is not the final form, the Rinnegan actually is the perfected and final form of the Sharingan
But how did Nagano get rinnegan tho? His mom was an Uzumaki and his dad was from some other clan. He awakened it when he was attacked by a ninja. So that would mean his dad would've had to be an Uchiha, which he wasnt
@@tjm1100, Obito transplanted them shortly after Madara's death (This was Obito's backstory) they were normal till a trauma awakened them, Due to the Uzimaki's massive natural bloodline chakra storing ability, he was able to activate it. The Uzimaki's were known for having massive chakra abilities as well as living long lives due in part to it. This is why Mito (hashirama's wife) and Kushina (Minato's wife) were selected for the duty of Jinchuriki, the ability of the Uzimakis to control any type of chakrs and their abilities with sealing Jutzu made them the perfect candidates for Jinchuriki

diferent mangekyou sharingan abilitys vary from user to user like the pattern of it, and rinnegan has a similar case like sharingans since it an evolution of sharingan. It has 6 techniques that every eye has, those being the ones that we saw pain use and also has its own abilitys varying from user to user just like the mangekyou sharingan abilitys.
Rinnegan is not a evolution of sharingan, although it is stronger. Those jutsus are more like brothers, Rinnesharingan was the original and both Sharingan and Rinnegan are the results of it "splitting"

So the Tenseigan is obtained by implanting a Hyuuga's eyes into an Otsutsuki host, but the Hyuuga are just descendants of the Otsutsukis... It'd make more sense if achieving Tenseigan was just transplanting another's Byakugan into yourself 🤔.
Yeah it's stuff like this that makes it painfully obvious that the people writing Naruto/Boruto now are just making it up as they go along. They keep having to introduce more and more powerful jutsu and characters and come up with weird justifications as to why they are more powerful.
i really hope that they will start to show more of the jougan. As it is now its like they came up with it, and then ran out of ideas for it so they just didnt show any more of it. Every time we have seen it it has had different abilities. Being able to teleport, seeing changes in space time etc but we have never seen it do the same thing multiple times.
wonder why we never saw a hyuga playing the buff/support role. they can shut of tenketsu points. but they can also increase chakra flow. missed opportunity to have a character that's specialty is to buff his team mates. you could have gate equivalent fighters all over the place, with just one hyuga running around opening tengetsu points.
I've read somewhere that in the beginning of manga, Neji was the main opponent of Naruto and it was planned to project him as such in the series onwards (Sasuke was no where in the picture of being his main opponent), but as the manga grew popularity of Sasuke lead the writers to make him main opponent instead of Neji
And yes, they haven't shown us the power of byakugan to it's full extent, they even said in the series itself that sharingan was inferior to byakugan but they never showed it's true power to prove it till now

Okay so I'm pretty sure that Sasuke could already combine his Amaterasu with Susano'o pre-EMS, since his original MS abilities were amaterasu, and shaping/extinguishing them. And Susano'o is something any wielder can use,once at a high enough level, only Itachi also had an amaterasu type mangekyou, probably bc they're brothers

You can use susanoo if you have Mangekyou in BOTH eyes. Like kakashi couldn't because he had one. Only used it once obito borrowed him his eyes before his death.
8:10 That's not his Dojutsu's ability, it's the ability of anyone that uses the Sharingan, Byakugan, or sage mode. It's the ability to see how much chakra someone has. Madara and Naruto used it to look at Gai's chakra after he used the 8 gates. Neji used his Byakugan to look at Naruto's chakra during the Chūnin exams.
Byakugan is basically the base Dojutsu of other Otsutsuki Eyes, so it makes sense that Sharingan, which was a mutated devolution of Rinnegan, still retains many similar abilities to Byakugan albeit weaker.

If you're referring to their fight, no he didn't. Itachi's health had no bearing on their "genjutsu war." Sasuke matched Itachi's Mangekyo genjetsu with a regular Sharingan, and even Zetsu who is watching points this out. Orochimaru who trains Sasuke foreshadows this from all the way at the start of Shippuden when he tells Sasuke he's more powerful with his regular Sharingan and at his current age than Itachi ever was.

The mangekyo ability vary from user to user, and obtaining Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan doesn't give you access to every ability. We know this because Sasuke doesn't gain access to any of Itachi's abilities after he implants his eyes. His own abilities get stronger.

It's not a kekei genkai all the jinchuriki get the eyes of their tailed beast when they invoke it's Chakra in naruto's case since he combined his tailed beast chakra mode with his sage mode his pupils take the shape of both the fox and toad since sage mode also changes the user's pupils

The Byakugan of random Hyuga compared to Otsutsuki Byakugan are as far apart than sharingan and rinnegan. Otsutsuki can see people's fate with theirs, Kaguya basically read Hamura's mind with hers and I think Hamura's Byakugan is far superor to Neji's.
As till now, Boruto's Jogan has shown the ability to see dark chakra, see the oponents chakra network in HD colour vision, detect the weakest link in the chakra network, teleportation, detect ivisible portals between dimensions, predict Otsutsuki teleportation portal openings and connection to other worldly beasts (Nue). And last but not the least, the most powerful Dojutsu are Jiraiya's eyes.

I think the ootsutsuki simply have random dojutsu sometimes, like Isshiki with his, he's also the only one we see that has it, which makes it as rare as boruto's, although of course later kawaki inherits it as well but u get what i mean. I'm sure there are more otsutsuki with the jogan and probably more otsutsuki with isshiki's dojutsu or completely other unique dojutsus

One thing yo got wrong is how a mangekyo is awakened. It isn't only awakened by witnessing someone you care for die but also by feeling great levels of grief. Example: If you kill someone you don't currently care for you will feel no grief and won't awaken mangekyo however if you later figure out something about that person that makes you care for them then you will feel grief and awaken the mangekyo.

I have to make a quick correction here: the MS is awakened in a moment of extreme emotional pain and trauma, not necessarily the death of a loved one. It just natural that most of these traumatic moments happened due to the death of a beloved friend or family member. An example of this is Sasuke awakening his Mangekyo not from killing Itachi, but after learning everything the Leaf Village did to him and their clan and turning all the hate he had for his brother into sadness and regret. Another example would be Sarada not witnessing a death, but THINKING that Boruto (someone she loved) was going to be killed.
Feel like you could break this system and everyone could have eternal eyes easily if you fake a traumatising event for all and then have everyone trade eyes

You forgot how the Rinnegan is created, by combining Indra and Ashura (blood, DNA or Chakras). In both instances of a Rinnegan appearing it was through either combining of Indra and Ashura's skin/DNA (Madara) or chakras and possibly some DNA (Saskue). In that way the Eternal Mangekyo is not the final form, the Rinnegan actually is the perfected and final form of the Sharingan
But how did Nagano get rinnegan tho? His mom was an Uzumaki and his dad was from some other clan. He awakened it when he was attacked by a ninja. So that would mean his dad would've had to be an Uchiha, which he wasnt

This is why Mito (hashirama's wife) and Kushina (Minato's wife) were selected for the duty of Jinchuriki, the ability of the Uzimakis to control any type of chakrs and their abilities with sealing Jutzu made them the perfect candidates for Jinchuriki

diferent mangekyou sharingan abilitys vary from user to user like the pattern of it, and rinnegan has a similar case like sharingans since it an evolution of sharingan. It has 6 techniques that every eye has, those being the ones that we saw pain use and also has its own abilitys varying from user to user just like the mangekyou sharingan abilitys.

So the Tenseigan is obtained by implanting a Hyuuga's eyes into an Otsutsuki host, but the Hyuuga are just descendants of the Otsutsukis... It'd make more sense if achieving Tenseigan was just transplanting another's Byakugan into yourself 🤔.

i really hope that they will start to show more of the jougan. As it is now its like they came up with it, and then ran out of ideas for it so they just didnt show any more of it. Every time we have seen it it has had different abilities. Being able to teleport, seeing changes in space time etc but we have never seen it do the same thing multiple times.
i realized that madara's sharingan looks like my share button on my laptop
wonder why we never saw a hyuga playing the buff/support role. they can shut of tenketsu points. but they can also increase chakra flow. missed opportunity to have a character that's specialty is to buff his team mates. you could have gate equivalent fighters all over the place, with just one hyuga running around opening tengetsu points.
I've read somewhere that in the beginning of manga, Neji was the main opponent of Naruto and it was planned to project him as such in the series onwards (Sasuke was no where in the picture of being his main opponent), but as the manga grew popularity of Sasuke lead the writers to make him main opponent instead of Neji
And yes, they haven't shown us the power of byakugan to it's full extent, they even said in the series itself that sharingan was inferior to byakugan but they never showed it's true power to prove it till now
But without strong body they would die on the spot

Rinnegan is said to be obtained when Indra and Ashura's chakra are obtained. Madara and Sasuke already has indra's chakra because uchia bloodline. Madara obtained Ashura's by merging with Hashirama. Sasuke through the sage of six paths.

Okay so I'm pretty sure that Sasuke could already combine his Amaterasu with Susano'o pre-EMS, since his original MS abilities were amaterasu, and shaping/extinguishing them. And Susano'o is something any wielder can use,once at a high enough level, only Itachi also had an amaterasu type mangekyou, probably bc they're brothers

If you're referring to their fight, no he didn't. Itachi's health had no bearing on their "genjutsu war."
Sasuke matched Itachi's Mangekyo genjetsu with a regular Sharingan, and even Zetsu who is watching points this out.
Orochimaru who trains Sasuke foreshadows this from all the way at the start of Shippuden when he tells Sasuke he's more powerful with his regular Sharingan and at his current age than Itachi ever was.

The mangekyo ability vary from user to user, and obtaining Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan doesn't give you access to every ability. We know this because Sasuke doesn't gain access to any of Itachi's abilities after he implants his eyes. His own abilities get stronger.

It's not a kekei genkai all the jinchuriki get the eyes of their tailed beast when they invoke it's Chakra in naruto's case since he combined his tailed beast chakra mode with his sage mode his pupils take the shape of both the fox and toad since sage mode also changes the user's pupils
