Hey good people! As you might have noticed, life has been busy for me as of late! I am super happy with getting one more video out! I really like the end result of these simple corner buildings but please tell me what YOU thought of the video in the comments down below! Stay safe and lots of love to you all! 👍💙💛💙
I love your ideas for Terrain building it gives me ideas for my Diaramas. And Maybe something new from boxs of shame 🙏 I really enjoy all of your videos.
My game group has taken to calling you the "Mordheim Messiah" and now everyone is brave enough to try their hand at making terrain. It's awesome, we're trying our first game here soon on my birthday.
Thank you for this -- my wife doesn't always get my crafting but she supports it. This was the first video she watched with me from beginning to end, and got excited. She may even join me but at a minimum she now supports my acquisition of the dining room table. Currently doing a test piece and having a blast. It is a bit therapeutic. Your vids are great both in quality and content.
The idea with LEGO-windows is great. Someday I will use them, when I create my own buildings for the D&D table. Thank you for the huge number of great examples of how to make terrain.
I just printed the miniatures for my first Frostgrave game and was thinking about how I feel bad for wasting resin on a terrain, because I need to build a whole ice city on a 90x90 centimeter field, when I suddenly saw your crafts. Thanks for the awesome ideas, madly glad I found this video now!
Your terrain videos have completely rescued me from hobby burnout Leif and I have been having great fun building all sorts of Mordheim buildings. The bridge building looks great and I will be shamelessly stealing the design for my board but may have a go at some stonework for the towers either side.
Thank you so much Mobius for sharing that! That makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, it is actually one of the main reasons I do videos! The bridge house first floor is actually covered in brick! Check my instagram for a still photo of it! 👍😊
*Maniacal laughter* Yes, my my my. Jolly good. Madness and genius is a fine line. I think you're still on the genius side after seeing the end result. Cheers!
Dad joke 🤣🤣🤣 Corner buildings have always been on my list of stuff to make but they always seem to get knocked down the list all the time. Now that I've seen yours I think they're going to be getting made a lot sooner than I planned LOL. Your corner buildings are dropped dead gorgeous I love them
Hahahaha! Dad jokes is a common thing in my surroundings! Yeah I know what you mean Lawrence! In all honesty they have been pushed out a couple of times for me as well! But yeah I have to say that these complement the board well! 👍😅
I love it for sure, I would personally add a third one which for me would be "functional" meaning that buildings should have an inside and outside. Personal thing where I dislike pure "sight-blockers" 👍🤣
Very nice mate, that sigmar lives and following that with the fate of the fellow that wrote that was cool haha. Great build and your board is looking amazing.
Thank you so much Gwyllion Stead! Yeah I wish I could give the channel more time but it being a hobby limits how much time I can spend on it! Sorry! 👍😅
Hello I'm new to mordheim and have gotten into it via these videos. I recommend that once you've done this make a couple straight walls with a first floor no corner piece. I've done a couple and it takes the fantastic modularity and add another option. And those that want quick painting without an airbrush you can get cruder results with a can of coloured spray, bone and whit over a brown base coat. Sorry this is my just having to share my adoration of this great game.
@@DevsDice Honestly these videos made me go "Mordheim what's that?" Low and behold reading almost all town criers, the rulebook, wikipage I'm having a blast with the macabre tone
I absolutely love the buildings you make. It has inspired me to make a whole ton of them, but not broken. I am going to make whole city of buildings with all the walls and roof in tact. Thank you for the inspiration. Please make lots more. Lots and lots. Your buildings are some of the coolest things I've ever seen on RUclips. Seriously.
What an awesome dad joke in the beginning :D I just made my own rendition of this just yesterday. Mine are a little simpler but I am pressed on time because game day is tomorrow. Best part is that I only need cardboard (base structure), egg carton (wall texture), stir sticks (wooden beams and floor boards), PVA and sand 8for hiding the cardboard edges. Still discussing if I wanna put them on bases
Thank you James! Yeah I think that is the beauty of these builds that they are not that complex but can still be made to look quite nice! Good choice Sir! 👍😊
Well darn if that doesn't hit me straight in the feels! The good news b100draven is that I am just being myself on camera so the likelyhood of me changing by now is very small! 👍😂
Ahh, a good dad joke cannot be beaten. Loved this build as ever, and it’s always a treat to get a video from you, Leif! Thanks for sharing and brightening my day.
Thank you Karl! I did actually put some walkways between the terrain and yeah it just makes it into a dynamic labyrinth of wonderful chaotic gameplay! 👍😊
Hi Leif 😉 That's a cool way to build this ruined Corners 👍 It looks very good I wish you and your Family a Merry Christmas 😉 It was a very good and creative year on your Channel Thanks Dude 🤘😉 Stay healthy and creative my friend Best wishes 🤘😂
I absolutely love your building/mordheim tutorials - as mordheim is still my favorite game, i hit like as soon as i hear mordheim, but your videos aren’t only great for the mordheim theme, but also really good tutorials and the buildings you get out of your builds especially in combination with your incredible table are just stunning! so please keep up your good work - would love to see more 💙💛! P.S. i may have bought a lot of lego windows for some future builds 😅
Always excited when a new video drops! I’m currently building a ruined tower based on the two you built previously! Thank you for the helpful tutorials and inspiration!
Yeah sorry about that Bart! Things became too stressful and I made it off camera! The good news is that I used the same techniques as I have already shown for my Mordheim buildings! 👍😊
Wonderful build my brother from the north, I’ve been watching your channel for about a year and a half now, and it’s cuz of it. You have inspired me to build and work on a board inspired by warhammer the old world. I just want to say thank you so much 🤘
These, and the rest of your Mordheim build videos, are simply first class! I had my first game of Mordheim in 12 years yesterday and my gaming group is now looking to put a table together. They're all going to be invaluable to us as we build it up!
Just to give an indication to those wishing to buy the lego window components. Using his link they are running about $.10 per part, with the frame and lattice each being one part. So his completed windows are roughly $.20 per completed window not counting shipping.
These look awesome as always ! Thanks Leif ! Do you have any suggestions on what alternate windows one may use ? Also any thoughts on a Cyber punk or maybe a more steam forged themed buildings ?
Thank you Frederick! Well, there is always 3d printing some or just making some out of some balsa or matchsticks? Not sure but best to be creative and use what you have! 👍🤣
Thanks for letting me know Anthony! I am currently planning on doing some more miniature painting videos! But in all earnest, I had to have a real hard think about what to do and why I should do it! Hope to get some out this year and hopefully people like them! 👍😊
Happy new year Mister Leif and best wishes for 2023! Your video is, as always a true masterpiece, really glad to see you back :) I cannot tell how amazed I am at your table, it is stunning. I will try Mordheim this year, and all your tutorials will come really handy in the near future! Thanks again for your passion and your work, take care!
Great work as always, if i may provide a feedback to make it even better. Less is more regarding graffiti and posters . They are also a bit big for the scale of the model. Placement wise some concentrated areas here and there could go a long way, thinks for example places where posters for concerts are plastered in modern cities.
Another crackling build tutorial that'll make great looking terrain, can there ever be enough to swap and change, nah .. variety is the spice of Mordheim, at least I think thats the proverb. Your city board looks fantastic, towering buildings with bridges? .. ooo those're cool.
Thank you so much Ellesse! Yeah as a professional game designer my heart lies very close to keeping the battlefield dynamic so more combinations of terrain is always better! 👍😊
Thank you so much Matilda! Not yet but I am working on a video where I go through the process and hopefully can offer them to people! So keep an eye on the channel! 👍😁
Hi! What lamps do you use on your table? Want to get a nice light setup and really like lighting in your videos. Great content, thank you for an inspiration!
You mean for my final shots? Well in all earnest Boritroll, loads of different lamp setups! I have just recently acquired some nice RGBW tube lights, two of those together with one overhead light seems like it could do the job! 👍😅
Great vid, thanks for putting them out there, Now I'm wondering if I can make one floor at a time so I can stack them inside one another for storage, space is one of my problems but hey adversity leads to innovation as someone said. Wish I had the funds to become a patreon, but it explains why I have taken up crafting terrain from stuff on its way to the recycling, best find so far was a 5mm foam board that was used for a A1 poster backing ( and although they won't see this, thank you work friends who saved it for me)...and guess what I will using that for :) Not playing Mordheim but using terrain for a solo game that kind of leads me down that route so it's not just D&D or GW players that you are helping out and inspiring. Merry Christmas one and all 🎄🎄🎉🛠
Thank you so much for sharing your situation Kevsbored! Lots of love to you man! 👍💙💛💙 When it comes to the stackable floors...honestly...it should work considering they are essentially straight boxes. I would use the exterior board as a lip to hide the seam as well. Sort of similar to how I did my XPS foam townhouse, the EPIC large one! 👍😊
Those turned out awesome! As always, I find your videos funny and helpful. What is the technique you're doing where you spray paint the blood on the wall but you have your brush in there?
Hey Leif, thanks to you I have got into Mordheim and I would like to give your buildings a go as they are the best looking buildings you can find on the internet, I absolutely love them! But before I start I have a couple of questions: When you airbrush the Umbert brown ink, do you thin it with thinner or water at all? And what about the strong tone? Also, do you cover the whole building with the strong tone or just some parts? Thanks so much in advance and sorry for asking so many things!
Thank you so much for your kind words! To answer your questions: Yes I always use a bit of thinner when anything, paint, inks and strong tone. As to where I add the strong tone I try to think where water might have gathered and created streaks. Hope that makes sense? 👍🙂
Great tutorial! Do you have any video where you go into detail about your airbrush? I paint all my terrain using normal hand brushes, but the airbrush looks like it would speed up the process a lot.
@@DevsDice I was mostly wondering about your setup, as most of the tutorials and equipment I find online seem to be geared toward painting miniature figures rather than larger pieces of terrain.
Jajjemen! Tack så mycket Helena! Vart lite mer upptaget nu och RUclips-kanalen är bara en kreativ hobby tyvärr! Kul att höra att man varit saknad! 👍💙💛💙
Just sent you some Mordheim posters through you contact e-mail. AI generated. Had the idea after one of your videos, and this one reminded me of this mini project. Feel free to use them. Nice video as usual :-)
Awesome Daniel! Thank you very much! I just got a subscription myself to midjourney and was thinking of using it partly for the posters! 👍🤣 Much appreciated Sir! 👍💙💛💙
@@DevsDice Here is my prompt : template for a medieval poster, wanted notice, announcement, parchment but first, you need to put 2 existing posters as sources of inspiration (load them to your discord server then grab the link, and begin with that in your prompt). I just picked 2 posters amongst the very first appearing in google search. And then it is super, I mean, super easy.🙂
Hey man, absolutely love your videos. You mention using diy coasters for bases, would you happen to have a link or source for those? I havent been able to find any like what you have
Tjena Leif. Mvh Robbin

Wish I had the funds to become a patreon, but it explains why I have taken up crafting terrain from stuff on its way to the recycling, best find so far was a 5mm foam board that was used for a A1 poster backing ( and although they won't see this, thank you work friends who saved it for me)...and guess what I will using that for :)
Not playing Mordheim but using terrain for a solo game that kind of leads me down that route so it's not just D&D or GW players that you are helping out and inspiring.
Merry Christmas one and all
🎄🎄🎉🛠
Thank you so much for sharing your situation Kevsbored! Lots of love to you man! 👍💙💛💙
When it comes to the stackable floors...honestly...it should work considering they are essentially straight boxes.
Thank you so much GB Fire Pro! Basically you blow air on a filled brush. The trick is to point the brush towards where you want the spray to land! 👍😊
@@DevsDice that’s pretty cool!
Hey Leif, thanks to you I have got into Mordheim and I would like to give your buildings a go as they are the best looking buildings you can find on the internet, I absolutely love them! But before I start I have a couple of questions:
When you airbrush the Umbert brown ink, do you thin it with thinner or water at all?
Not really no, was there anything specifically you were thinking of? 👍😊
@@DevsDice I was mostly wondering about your setup, as most of the tutorials and equipment I find online seem to be geared toward painting miniature figures rather than larger pieces of terrain.
Fantastic!!!
Thank you so much Jesus LG! 👍😊
Looks great! If you wanted to do a dirt floor instead on the lower level, would this alter the overall stability?
I don't think so. I would be a bit careful with the gluing since there is a potential of warping when using "white glue". But should work! 👍😅
Fantastic!
Thank you kindly Vagabond Prime! 👍😊
There's something so 'right' about a good corner joke.
Hahahahaha! I am glad that it's appreciated Hmgirlpopuri! 👍😂
Thanks for this. Would you happen to have a future project using a large plastic container, say a protein powder can, to convert to terrain?
My pleasure Richard Tan! Not as of now but I have to say that I am intrigued! 👍😊
Äntligen är du tillbaka ❤️❤️
Jajjemen! Tack så mycket Helena! Vart lite mer upptaget nu och RUclips-kanalen är bara en kreativ hobby tyvärr! Kul att höra att man varit saknad! 👍💙💛💙
Looks cool! What do you use to thin the vallejo airbrush primer?
Thank you so much Horus Lupercal! I generally use Vallejo thinner! 👍😊
@@DevsDice Here is my prompt :
template for a medieval poster, wanted notice, announcement, parchment
but first, you need to put 2 existing posters as sources of inspiration (load them to your discord server then grab the link, and begin with that in your prompt). I just picked 2 posters amongst the very first appearing in google search. And then it is super, I mean, super easy.🙂
Hey man, absolutely love your videos. You mention using diy coasters for bases, would you happen to have a link or source for those? I havent been able to find any like what you have
Thank you kindly! The coasters I found on Swedish Amazon! 👍😊
Tjena Leif.

we need more no damaged houses models. I just done this!
Hahahaha! Fair enough Martin but I mostly now-a-days build for Mordheim and in order to use the inside, it needs to be damaged somehow! 👍😅
very nice !!
Thank you so much Dédale de jeux! 👍😁
This is amazing! where could I find posters like those?
Glad you asked Juan José Ramirez Laraña! Have you checked my latest video? 👍😉
@@DevsDice omg i missed it. Thank you very much!
