    A bit late but I have a question about an email campaign that I can't seem to get a clear answer on. We receive leads from an RFI form, so people have opted in. We don't have access to Marketing Cloud.
    Is there a way to trigger a drip campaign but still allow opting out if people decide?
    Or do I need to use an appexchange app?

    great video. 1 follow on question: Can the FLOW logic trigger the Alert email X days prior to a date field? e.g. Send an email 90 days before X date, Send an email 75 days before X Date, etc. Thanks!

      Hey Eric, Thanks for watching! Yes, Flow can send an alert x days before or after a date field. To do this create a Record Triggered Flow and then click on Scheduled Paths. It's right under the Start element. This will let you choose a date field and an offset which creates a new path. Now, just add your Send Email action.

      @@Rotive finally got around to this task. I seem to have a slightly different use case than most (that always seems to be the case:-( I am attempting to send email X to the same Contact Z from Account Z when any Account A, B, C, etc's date field is 90 days from today. Not sure which Email Recipient Type to use in the Email Alert setup which will allow me to find Contact Z. Currently I am planning on emailing an internal user and "hard code" the email address for Contact Z into the Additional Emails to be Notified field in the Email Alert. Seems like there should be a more elegant way to do this.

      @@ericmauriello5359 Hey! Hardcoding is one way to do it, but you're right. It's not elegant. Instead you can send a Simple Email from within a Flow or install the Send Better Email package from UnofficialSF. This let's you assign any recipient you want based on any query you want. You're not limited in the ways you are with an Email Alert. The next question will be what query will get you Contact Z reliably?

    So little question, can i send an automated e mail when the invoice hasn't been paid after 1 day, 3 days en 7 days?

      Sure! You can use a record triggered flow with a scheduled path that runs when an invoice status equals sent (Or invoiced, or any other field value). It then can send a follow up email if the status has not been updated to Paid after 3 or 7 days etc.

    Is that flow builder a 3rd party integration or a feature for only certain salesforce accounts? I'm not seeing it in my SF account.

      Hi Daniel. Flow builder is built into Salesforce and every edition of Salesforce has access to it. You may not be a system administrator in you org or lack the permission to access the builder.

      Hey there, Email Alerts and Simple Email action are not stored where you can see them on a record. If you want to see that email in the activity timeline, I recommend using the Send Better Email action from UnofficialSF. It has the ability to do that.

    Hi Brian, good information.
    From a record, with a click of a button, Is it possible to automate sending out an email with attachments (files related to the record)?

      Hi R K, It is possible. If you want to send the same attachment, you can add a file to the email template your sending. If you want to send a different file--perhaps an invoice that is attached to an account--you'll need the Send Better Email package from UnofficialSF.
