I feel you Catman. Seems like I have my closest deer encounters while I'm chasing gobblers.

Sat down with a fall turkey breast sandwich and what's on line, fall turkey hunting. Perfect. recipe, easy, damp turkey breast coated heavy with Webber Original rub, oven @ 350 to 165 internal. tender and juicy.

You said they go to field during the rain, what are they looking for in the field?
I've hunting a few times and have not gotten one yet, looking forward to Spring 2020.

MJ Hoss I ain’t cat man but I can tell you why they go to fields during rain or snow,,for security, the rain in the woods makes it hard to hear when something is close to you and with their eyes , they don’t have to hear predators, they can see them , and in a field there is nothing to hide behind, always look to the fields when it rains or snows.

@@bobbygreen2291 Thanks for the info, I appreciate the response. I've always heard you can pick them up before or after the rain storm moves in or out. Thanks

MJ Hoss it’s almost like they know that we can’t use a rifle to hunt them.

They also like to go fields after rain so they can dry out.

@@benjaminhaley9993 Thanks for the response, it can stay pretty sticky in the woods after a rain that's for sure. Good Luck this season.
