I love that these are accessible via RUclips so I can download them to my phone and listen on my way to work -- I just wish they weren't 3 weeks behind the Twitch recordings.
It's been pretty awesome watching the numbers and review score go up on steam. Things looked a bit rocky for a short while with mixed review scores and a WHOLE LOT of angry threads lol. One of my subs said it best in my comments "Playing Pantheon is believing in Pantheon!" I think Brad would be proud, and that's awesome! Keep on keeping on!
This game is something else! best damn game released for a loooong time! the mechanic that you guys put in that make the mob intressted rather then aggro when you close but not to close is mental and mindblowing!!!! Freaking LOVE IT!
I personally like the graphical design approach. As detail is added, lending to more realism, it will add even more immersion past a pure realistic approach. I watched most of the video but didn’t hear the final tally on text capitalization. I personally think adding capitals to each word of a nameplate is the way to go. It’s easier on the eyes. Determining from that point what may be a named mob adds an extra level of curiosity. I’m really enjoying my trek in Pantheon. I’m excited to see how it grows and appreciate what you all are putting together.
To comment on what you shared at the end about him camping because he didn’t have a group, I completely understand why he did it. Even as a seasoned EQ player, I feel that there are a couple issues that perpetuated this. One, the amount of people on these servers during prime time (weekends and evenings) discourages the feeling that you will get into a group because lots of hot areas will be camped out with full groups. Two, the heroic enemies (ones with the ^ next to their name) that require a group absolutely destroy you without a group, for experience that doesn’t seem worth while. I had more luck getting better exp running around Avendrys pass killing normal mobs with another person than being in a full group killing spiders or waiting for a slot to open up in the area at spiders or in HC. Maybe I’m overreacting about this but I do not have the time like I did in the old EQ days to grind this hard or wait on finding a group.
Joppa, do you think we'll get a camping mechanic for doing long overworld traveling? Camp fire, cooking pot, maybe a sleep roll for well-rested buffs? That would be amazing.
Damn, when I hear your thoughts on the game and simply how you speak about it lets me know it is in good hands. Anyway, my point is, I've bought it 2 days ago and I'm sold on it. Can't wait to catch a break and jump back in!
This game is truly amazing. If there is one thing that I would like it would be to see a consideration to shared banking for the sake of testing various characters and classes without the need to redo tradeskilling or asking others to pass on items. I would be completely fine with this just being for the testing EA period.
I am really looking forward to this MMORPG. My friends and I asked themselves if you guys going to change the nameplates of some mobs? Some of the names seem very long and give a very unfinished feeling (I know the game is unfinished), but this was something very obvious to us when checking the game for the first time. Thanks for all the effort and much success for the team!
Regarding the graphics, I definitely don't think the game is ugly. I found the game completely randomly and started playing it. At first, the graphics seemed very bad. But after playing for a while, the graphics definitely started to look very nice to me. I think the reason for this is related to what the eye gets used to. Something I don't understand makes the graphics both depressing and cozy at the same time, and I think this feeling is very nice and fits with the world. I also think that the feeling in the graphics is incredibly compatible with the music of the game. I can easily say that the graphics are my favorite part of the game right now. Lazy Peon's review of the game is really nice, his channel is the first place I look when I want a review of any game.
Opening UI to the community is the beginning of a rabbit hole. Then people will start making mods to make quality-live improvements like WoW in which you people don't play the game anymore unless you download like 10 MOD's that do everything for you
Yes game look fine just I believe that they need to have certain skills early in the beginning like I was saying leveling up your weapon that you choose and learn skills as you level up like one weapon skill at lvl 10 thn another one at lvl 25 ' 55 '75 '105 and so on as thy lvl weapon skill line up
Thank god I stayed until the end. I love old style RPGs and that it is hardcore. I do not think the death penalties are too harsh. My problem that made me log out every time I died is that I was out exploring and died and I had no idea how I came to that I place. I have a poor sense of direction even in real life, something my friends have had fun with through the years, and it's been a struggle the last week or so playing this game. I have given up on several corpses already. :) A good thing though is that I always log back in because the game is fun. So I am glad there will be a map, but I guess you will not be able to see yourself on the map, so not sure if it will be a difference to look at a map on another screen. So for me the death penalty becomes a 4th penalty - I don't find my corpse. Not fun at all. Wish if i put all my points into intelligence that the game atleast could give me a direction to run for my corpse. :)
On the launch wipe... why not quarantine all the characters from EA until there are a decent amount of launch characters of that level, then allow server transfers (minus items and money perhaps) to the live servers. Even if you only kept the name / class and level of the EA toons, that would be a lovely reward for people who have been playing through EA.
Game will be good in 1-2 years but right now there simply isn't any real content. we need A LOT more options for character progression. The little bit of mastery won't cut it.
Also think about adding a job like Blue mage from final fantasy 11 might want to check it out... I'm sure a lot of people would join the game if something like this hit Pantheon wish I could link a video of final fantasy 11 graphics and then you make a comparison of that gameplay versus EverQuest then you will understand if you can combine both of them together you would make one hell of a game
As for this guy the same thing would have happened to him if he would have played final fantasy 11 cuz they have death penalty to you lose experience only point of the game was you can try to solo if you were skilled enough to solo
Game def not as ugly as he claimed, people are just so used to the focus on graphics! Id rather our classes and mechanics be focus while the clean up of graphics/animations come casually.
I think they are only posted on their discord. (The launcher shows them sometimes but there might be a sync issue with it as sometimes it doesn't show anything)

Yah!
I'll be working to catch up over the next few days so we can have both places stay up to date :)
@@JoppaVash Fantastic!

Glad to hear it Joppa. Now that you're on YT I'll be sure to watch every one of these. Long live Pantheon ❤
These streams are great and very informative. I love the approach you are doing here.

I think having everyone start off the same is very important for all online games
