I like Yumichika and Ikkaku too and I wouldn't care at all if they were a couple (my favourite villain ever is Griffith from Berserk, with half fandom thinking he is gay), but nothing has shown them as such and it's not common knowledge that they are, merely speculation of guys like you who must find a ship in any relationships. Neither of them has ever shown any appreciation towards each other that implied more than friendship and it wouldn't even be so complicated to do. Yumichika has always been described as a narcissist who loves beauty, until anything else is said, you cannot claim anything more as canon. It’s a nice idea that Yumichika is unwilling to show his fellow soul reapers his true shikai, but that plot point is completely contradicted by the fact that he literally used it against Hisagi way back in the Soul Society Arc.
He said he doesn't want anybody from his squad (especially Ikkaku and Kenpachi) to know about his shikai because to 11th squad kido zanpakuto are shameful and for cowards. Hisagi is not from 11th squad and he even told him that he would have shown it to him and to keep quiet about it, especially with Ikkaku and Kenpachi because he didn't them to lose respect for him. It's totally consistent.

Kido type Zanpakuto are all nasty. Shunsui, Urahara, Yumichika, Kira, Ichibe, Shutara, Hisagi (if you know you know). They're all absurdly broken.
