    Awesome stuff man! Congrats on Master 1! Really interesting deck list you’ve got too. It’s not often you see something that can be loosely described as “pure” drytron on MD, at least as of right now before the support drops. Not running any of the handtraps is a very interesting choice, I’m honestly surprised it worked out as well as it did but still very glad for it. Would you recommend giving this deck list a shot for a somewhat newer player?

    • @densai89
      @densai89  3 дня назад +4

      @@nitro5247 Thank you for the support. When this deck was still meta with Herald, hand traps were how this deck was played. But when cards got banned/limited, TCG players started shifting away from hand traps towards a more pure variant and Turn Skipping variants (The World or Amorphactor Pain with Thunder of Ruler). I started learning the deck after Drytron already got hit so I never used the Herald cards. I never really liked them in Drytron anyway. A non-hand trap version allows you to combo easier since this is not a 1 card full combo deck yet (until Nu II is released). Bricks happen a lot when you only see 1 Drytron so you have to max out the names.
      I don’t know how the meta is going to shift with Tenpai being hit. They were the easiest matchup and at the same time the most popular so it helped make my ranked climb easier. I will still continue playing this deck like I always do but I’m hesitant to recommend this deck to a newer/learning player. I stuck with this deck because it’s my favorite (rituals are my favorite summoning mechanic) and I got tired of buying into the new meta archetypes every few months (I’m a free to play player). I dump all my gems into older packs to get some of these royal rares and then craft the rest of the royals using my excess SR/UR crafting points so I at least have pretty cards to look at when I only play one deck. When you play a weaker deck, you start to learn its flaws quickly and it’s definitely a challenge against some meta decks. Example: all Drytrons tribute for cost so sometimes if you get hand trapped, you are down 2 cards and you quickly are at a huge disadvantage. If you misplay, you inherently are a weaker deck so you are again at another disadvantage. And I misplay too, A LOT! Plus side is some players will not know how to stop the deck so you can bait hand traps/interruptions easier. Another plus side is because it was an older deck, it’s cheaper to build compared to these new meta decks that are nothing but pure SR/UR cards. If you want to play competitively and win, I’d recommend a meta deck (can’t beat them, join them) and build this deck as a for fun deck. The more you win, the more gems it rewards you after each win (there’s a limit per day like 100 gems I think) so it does pay for itself playing a stronger deck. Like Dkayed said, you either play an easy deck as a new player (stun, Floowandereeze, True Draco) or you go hard and play the strongest meta deck. You’ll have less room for error and can play around other interruptions easier because you can afford to take these risk and after all that, learn way faster how to be a better player than using an older deck. I know some of these plays in my video look insane, but it’s not easy making it look like that. Hope my honesty helps you make an informed decision.

    • @densai89
      @densai89  3 дня назад +1

      @@guilherme154-p8b Thank you! Happy New Year to you too! I feel like this deck is balanced for going first or second. Since this deck doesn’t put up too many interruptions on opponent’s turn consistently, it gives them an opportunity to make a comeback.
      Arcana Force involves some bricks if you draw them going 2nd. Benefit to Arcana is you can pull off the FTK with access to only 1 Benten so in a way it’s easier to pull off compared to Amorphactor Pain turn skips in my opinion. There are rare instances where you cannot pull off the turn skip after summoning The World because you do not have enough bodies to tribute for the turn skip effect or are unable to deal 8k damage next turn. Arcana turn skip is stronger since it’s a true turn skip compared to Amorphactor Pain which they still have a turn and can play some cards (some Tenpai players have Red Reboot and can shut down Thunder of Ruler). Amorphactor Pain does offer better recovery since you can just tribute it for Drytron effects next turn. They both have their own pros/cons.

    • @densai89
      @densai89  День назад

      @@giveashot8763 That is the “great debate.” A lot of players cut out Natasha due to maxing out Nu II. Seeing as you play more than 1 duel in TCG you can decide to side her in/out of the deck. Master Duel is best of 1 so I think I’ll keep her in because you never know when you’ll need her to pick apart their board. You can summon Nu II by other card effects, do not activate any of its effects, and therefore are not locked into Machine rituals. Most situations, Nu II is just too good not to activate. I’ve seen a few profiles where people still play non-machines with Nu II and their arguments make sense to me. I do not play TCG or on other simulators so I don’t have experience yet to make an informed decision for myself.

    Hey I’m new to the game and this is a dumb question, but why can you only use Natasha’s ability in the GY once you have ritual summoned her instead of when you send her to the GY a different way. Thanks!

    • @dd1228
      @dd1228 3 дня назад +1

      Because the effect was intended to be like this but the card is written really bad, is one of the few in the game

    • @densai89
      @densai89  3 дня назад +1

      @xcom2elder92 Ritual monsters are similar to Extra Deck monsters. They must be “properly summoned” before they can be summoned from a “public location” such as the GY or face-up banishment. Private means only you know the cards or neither player know the cards (your face-down main deck, your hand, your face-down banished cards) and public means cards that your opponent can identify (both GY, both face-up banished cards, cards on field, etc). You can use effects (like Soul of the Supreme King trap card to summon Supreme King Z-ARC from ED) to cheat summon a monster from the Extra Deck because most ED monsters are face down/private knowledge locations and can summon them “ignoring its Summoning conditions.” You can also cheat out monsters from hand and main deck because these are also private knowledge locations. But even if you cheat them out, they are still not classified as “properly summoned” so it’s sent to GY you cannot reborn them because they were improperly summoned. Proper summons include Tuner and non-Tuner to make a synchro summon, fusion effect using monsters to summon a fusion monster, using monsters of the same level to XYZ summon, etc. Once they are properly summoned, you can reborn them as many times as you like. I had to ritual summon Natasha first and then use her own GY reborn effect to steal monsters. If I did not ritual summon her, she has not been properly summoned and therefore cannot be reborn from a public knowledge location (GY). Hopefully I explained in a way you can understand. Some mechanics are not easily explained to newer players and that’s why they call this a game for lawyers, lol.

      @densai89  2 дня назад

      @@Rilo888 Last time I saw Sky Striker was when Linkage and other support cards came out. I actually thought it was a pure deck but the Tenpai cards was a bit of a surprise. I know people splash Sky Striker into other decks but I haven’t seen a Tenpai player do it yet. Makes sense since they can help bait interruptions and break boards with Afterburners and Widow Anchor before committing to Tenpai.
      Feels good to be the underdog and win. I think if you try hard enough, you could get to masters with a weaker or less played deck. Luck and skill are needed, but I think committing a lot of time is the biggest factor. As long as you have a slightly higher win ratio than 50%, over a lot of duels you will eventually reach masters. Like a statistic, you’ll see results over a large enough sample.

    • @densai89
      @densai89  День назад

      @@AintGotNoGlasses I don’t like all those fairies in hand. They brick sometimes. That’s why I don’t even play staple hand traps either. I just play as much gas a possible to push through all the interruptions when going 2nd. Also Tenpai main 3 Droplets and noticed more decks start to main it too. I’ve encountered Kashtira decks using droplet and I’m like but it conflicts with Arise-Heart but they still think it’s good enough to use it anyway. I think Union Carrier made Ultimateness more broken due to easier access to Eva. It’s probably decent now with unlimited Eva and Orange Light. It’s still just my preference to not play it.
