Love how, in 2019, their sound is somewhere between Some Girls and Floodland (both very different) and yet is both natural and modern sounding. They moved forward only to end up someplace they'd passed by once before.
This lineup is fucking legendary! Ravey Davey has been one of the best elements of the band unsung for years, Ben is perfect, Dylan is such a great addition with obviously new input and Andrew is on fire again! They will go down in the history books as one of the most legendary bands of all time.
These are great vids Ingo. Not seen NME since they last played Leeds, which was a blinder. Seems that they are still (occasionally) intent on playing decent gigs with decent vocals, in spite of themselves. Thanks for sharing.

It would be great if it had those arps played by a piano, some driven and intense bass, some strings and (for god's sake) a different drum sound and pattern. Still, melody is too lineal and predictable. Far from any FALAA song. But this is what we have now. At least I hope they play their set decently.
This is it ! it gives me hope, the lead vocals are coming through strong and loud, I guess it's a smaller venue than normal so I'm guessing that his vocals coming through as hardly audible in recent gigs throughout some venues is probably a sound engineering problem. Maybe the sound engineers at those gig venues are chumps that don't know how to gauge everything correctly to cater for a bass baritone voice ? This hopefully will be on a new album. I suspect that the Sisters of Mercy have more songs tucked away than Prince did have in his secret music vault.
Now I get SOM can’t be arsed with record labels but why can’t the boys just release new stuff through band camp. iTunes or any other. At least I can enjoy Andy’s shear brilliance.
