This hit me at the right time. Thank you. I saved it. I began reading Brother Lawrence "Practicing the Presence of God" and I began putting that into practice as best I could. I don't know exactly what attachments I have so I'm praying to know what stands in my way of serving Him better. 🙏 I'm making up for lost time, it seems. I need to know where I am blinded. But maybe that will come in time.
Oh my gosh! I just noticed your name! So from one Sweet Caroline to the other, I feel this hit at just the right time as well, and I'll take your example and start reading Brother Lawrence too.
I believe this is for the, religion life ……priest , nuns , monks and so on . However for the rest of us ….we have to give our all depending in our state in life … I’m a wife , a mother , I give my best in my marriage, the upbringing of my children.. and to put God as the head of my household!
Christ promised Luisa Piccarreta, that those who recited her book, " the Hours of the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ," would grow in holiness, be protected from God's wrath in areas recited, & save a soul for each word recited. She is approved by the Church, endorsed by Padre Pio, & lived on nothing but the Eucharist for 60+ yrs.
@aheadfullof read a fair amount of her works. Found no heresy in them. Nore had the church ever clearly identified any heresy out from her. Satan has his own attack, servants of God.
Sorry. I’m confused...I get we love God first and foremost, do we no longer love our parents, our family, etc. Do we no longer help or take care of those close to us? Isn’t that a part of Charity?
In my opinion: The Bible uses hyperbole to make a point. Yes, we love our parents/family but we should love God more in comparison so that's the point of the hyperbole
You must fulfil your current duties in life (parent, child, teacher etc) not for the sake of your family or yourself but for the sake of God - this is loving God, when you do all for the love and glory of God. When you love and place God first above ALL things including yourself, you will learn to truly love your family.
Hello, thank you for that. There is always (or often) this vocab problem in christianity with words like "abandon", if there is a fight there is a fight you can't be warm and "abandon" anything, you can be warm and reject vigorously something for example, leave it with clear will. Christian people have something to do on that point for my eyes, there is a lack of "solidity" (maybe another word would be better). Somehow Jesus acted according to what he got with people he met in the epoch he came but the very message is actually very offensiv, this is a violent fight with evil and for reaching sanctification sometimes with wicked, silly and sometimes terrifying fails consequences even considering infinite merciness of the Lord. Then it's better to avoid participation to a violent fight with "passiv" vocab (as there is a risk of missunderstandment and wrong extrapolations with violent vocab, anyway the explaination of the book is often not precise or clear enought on this point, to avoid fear people loose efficiency... ). Sincerly, be blessed (that vision involves only my person)
This is the best RUclips video of all time.
It is wonderful to hear a soul as yours who understands these Truths.
I agree it is also the best for me
I agree
Does the soul that gives itself entirely to God have to become a Priest or Religious? Is anyone here like that?
@@Roscoe1279 No you do not have to be a priest or religious to give yourself completely to God. Look to the Blessed Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph.

'Pray, Hope and don't worry". St. Padre Pio. I would add Trust, Patience and Humility. Do your best and let God do the rest.
The Communion of Saints must be protected.

Great spiritual growth and meditation and devotion.

Counter at 2:33 you say Ecclesiastes 19:1 but it does not exist. It has only 12 chapters.

Love GOD with your whole heart, soul, mind, and body and love thy neighbor as yourself.
Neighbor includes your love ones and His creatures.
