I just bought the 2024 X5 30D 3 months ago and I must say I am very pleased with the car. That mild hybrid system makes it surprisingly efficient. I saw 5.2l per 100 on my run from Melbourne to Albury on boxing day. But you are right about the aggressive Regen. It's not a very pleasant experience for passengers. My mates commented saying why am I breaking so much and I was like it's not me. They won't believe me obviously 😂😂. It's comfortable enough without the air suspension for me. Yes the odd bump does rattle the entire car. The tech is glitchy at times. Especially if you got one apple and one android in the house like us. Love the remote parking feature. Very exciting for my 4 year old to see the car back out of the garage without anyone in the driver's seat lol. I sincerely wish there was a back seat release button in the boot. It's a major miss in my view. And the biggest annoyance was that the dealer says bmw doesn't sell factory fitted tow bars anymore...huge shame cause now we have to get roof mounting bike racks .
I had a 520d and 535d. The 535d had loads of torque, good fuel economy and sounded like a petrol engine. The 35d had huge lag when doing stop start driving and the 20d was even worse. I would rather have the petrol and a higher fuel bill.
I bought and drove new BMW's for 25 years. When I see the latest BM's, it feels like it's a completely different brand with an oversized kidney grill and BMW badge. Not for me any more.
Tom where have you been as usual a top review
The man, the myth, the legend...Tom Baker! Nice review as always

Thanks Tom a lovely review with wonderful images.
Tom's back again! Another Chasing Cars video I can watch rather than all their other garbage without Tom.
Oh you've been to my hometown of Cologne (9:42)! Hope you had a nice stay 🙂
Not having quad zone climate control these days for a family SUV is a bit disappointing

So they paid you for a holiday in Europe?
Holiday but tax deductable. Smart

I hope BMW don’t stop the diesel. I’ll pick a diesel over a EV any day. The LA fires have shown how vulnerable and inept EV vehicles truly are.
X6 or GLE Coupé?
X6
