You know this feeling when music resonates within you, everything around you starts to disappear and you seem to exist in the sound completely? - This is how I feel while listening to this. What a performance! And Danny Elfman is just the best. Wow.
Wonderful! I literally closed my eyes and listened to this, with the rain outside my window adding a quiet backdrop to the soothing percussion sounds. I was briefly in heaven...
So glad you could be there 🙌 Thanks for listening! Be sure to get your copy of our new album so you can hear the whole piece, coming out May 13! smarturl.it/CDR210
The entire piece is 3 movements-our album with the full piece is out May 13 and we'll be releasing videos of the other 3 movements in the next few weeks/months. Subscribe if you haven't so you know when they're out!
It's interesting how identifiable this is. Danny Elfman has no formal training as a composer, and consequently has a somewhat limited compositional vocabulary. He picked almost everything up on his own, so he knows some sounds, techniques and tools very well and uses them a lot, and others not at all. But the upside of that is that he makes very recognizable music.
