Loss is painful and is the main agent for growth. It is an integral part of being a human. When we don't process our losses in healthy ways, we remain stuck and become numb inside. We shut down and check out of our body. We are like the living dead who cannot feel neither joy nor peace. We have abandoned ourselves and are emotionally unavailable to ourselves and others. We self-medicate to manage our pain and emptiness in the form of addictions to work, food, relationships, gambling, overspending, drugs etc. We live in a world that is often pain avoidant. When we avoid loss, we avoid life. Thank you Skinny for presenting an entertaining and insightful film about our humanity. Taj's performance was outstanding and the supporting characters were a delight to watch.👏🏽👏🏽
