@@RodneyKatana Very cool!!! I hope you have a blast! I'll return to Japan next year for shorin ryu karate training and will try another sword class in Kyoto with my son next time. Because of this experience, I've become interested in learning more.
@@centurybeta2112 yes. Still, to me, as someone who is practicing classical martial arts in Japan, this seems to be too expensive. But if you had a good time, all good!
@@Cronsen Oh yeah! 100% agree! I actively practice an older style karate (shorinryu) and kobudo (matayoshi) from Okinawa - I've seen the same tourist introductions there too. The tourist experience is great fun for introduction to my first time and wouldn't pay that price to do this again. However, if I pursue this further, I plan to do a lot of research with my son in choosing a style. He's actually very interested in getting keeper in the sword arts so I want to encourage him to try different styles before settling.
