He is so traumatised from his abusive father. Domestic abuse is terrible and here is a grown man who can’t stop living in the past as the abuse cycle plays non stop in his mind. We love big Lenny.
I can't help but wonder if the reason why Lenny never approached the idea of even having a kid is because he knows, even if in the back of his mind and not consciously, that he'd probably mess his own kid up as badly as his dad did to him.
@@JackgarPrime i also wonder such things. he has been unable to nail down anything but very very strange and sexually aberrant relationships with any women. according to lenny himself most/all of which literally would take a shit on him- big greasy brown logs. perhaps symbolizing his father shitting on him. i don't even want to know. it's a life ruined. lenny the person is a well spoken but tragic individual

A special thanks to the Delray Misfits for wanting this footage released for everyone. Truly a great group of people who I feel honored to have worked with and hope to do more in the future. Btw guys sorry if their is any audio issues in the interview.. I had to do a ton of work on restoring the audio on this because there was a massive AC unit at Lenny's which we could not shut off so It took noise samples for me to restore it which took time.
Thank you and that is the goal my friend :) I continue to learn each day and I think some people don't know that I started learning this art less than 2 years ago and am still learning each day, however it is what I love to do so it will come my friend:)

you dont see Dale getting a documentary, he just pays someone to tell him to eat less while begging for sponsorships like Dope labs. What you think about that Dale!?
Everything about Lenny screams Professional Wrestler to me. His energy, size, attitude, sense of humor, reminds me so much of the old school 80’s wrestlers.
His Father may have been overly strict but at least he tried to set his son up for something. Too many fathers not giving their children direction now. They all graduate and have no clue where to go or what to do
I think the reason is because Lenny knows he could have gone to college and then the NFL if only he had followed his father, but his father pushed him too hard. Its weird to think Lenny could have been a professional athlete, who knows how sucessful, but instead ended up like this.
Pupper Faust He went too hard in the other direction, though. Helping guide your son is one thing. Demanding that they do what you couldn't and whipping their asses just because they struck out in a little league game is way, way, way too much.
One of the effects of abuse is to identify with the abuser. You can see how Lenny sees himself through his father's eye's, his abuser, and as a failure who let his father down. Lenny said that his father gave him everything that he needed to succeed (mindset, strength, intimidation, etc.), but it is obvious from his story that he did not give Lenny the only important thing that a son needs from his father, and that is unconditional love. Lenny didn't let his father down. His father let him down. I hope Lenny can one day come to see this.
Lenny, I don’t know that you’ll ever read this, but I have so much respect for you brother... You once said that your life’s purpose was to inspire others, and you have genuinely inspired me to work on myself. I fucked around for far too long in my life, I want to do something with my life... Since I found you on here about a week and a half ago, I have made a genuine effort to work out. This is a fantastic interview. Thank you Lenny.
Uncut, like a good tan, ten with a ten. The ultimate non cookie cutter. This really pulled on my heart strings though, no homo. I don’t know my dad so it’s cool getting these talks indirectly through RUclips.
I changed my mind about Lenny after this interview. He seems like a good guy. His dad probably messed him up real good by expecting too much from him. I know the feeling of not meeting your dad’s expectations and hearing as a young man that I was not good enough for him was very painful.
I agree completely, I found myself laughing at him the first few times I watched videos of him but it's hard not to like the guy for being the character that he is. Although I totally see why so many people troll him I feel like he's done a lot more good with his internet presence than he realizes, at least in terms of inspiration and entertaining people whether or not he actually intends to. He might be fucked up but its hard not to feel sympathy for him the more you delve into his history.
Pussy. My dad told me at the dinner table every night that he hopes someone beats me up and shuts my mouth for me. Ended up turning me into a fighting machine. Now that I'm out and have to live with him, I'm 38 and he's 66 and afraid of me. He raised a person who he hates, which is probably himself.
If you would have listened to him then things may have been different. But only cookie cutters look back, sir. All about the Pain Train, full steam ahead. You're OUR Misfit, Big Lenny, and we're damn proud of what you and the boys have been doing for quite some time. Mr. Bravo, many thanks. It's not hard to shine a light on such a bright character, we appreciate your part in the Delray saga.
I had a father similar to Lenny's. I suffered from severe depression and drank a lot because of him, or so I thought. I now realize that I wasn't always the easiest and most respectful son to deal with while he worked his life away, and that he did the best he could. We talk or text now daily.
The crazy thing is how he still worships the guy. He doesn't see how fucked it is that his dad beat him with a belt for striking out in little league. What the fuck.
JackgarPrime my dad beat the shit out of me with the buckle of his belt often because he was clinically insane when I was a child. He never taught me discipline or anything. I would have preferred to have a strict disciplinarian as a father instead of one who just beat me, quite literally, black and blue when he was home from the mental hospital.
We all look back and wish we would have done things different but that’s what make us who we are today! I wish I had done things different but we can’t so don’t live with regret go make the best of our life today! !!! We all love you for you Big Lenny!!!💪💪💪💪
