He is so traumatised from his abusive father. Domestic abuse is terrible and here is a grown man who can’t stop living in the past as the abuse cycle plays non stop in his mind. We love big Lenny.

I can't help but wonder if the reason why Lenny never approached the idea of even having a kid is because he knows, even if in the back of his mind and not consciously, that he'd probably mess his own kid up as badly as his dad did to him.

A special thanks to the Delray Misfits for wanting this footage released for everyone. Truly a great group of people who I feel honored to have worked with and hope to do more in the future. Btw guys sorry if their is any audio issues in the interview.. I had to do a ton of work on restoring the audio on this because there was a massive AC unit at Lenny's which we could not shut off so It took noise samples for me to restore it which took time.

One of the effects of abuse is to identify with the abuser. You can see how Lenny sees himself through his father's eye's, his abuser, and as a failure who let his father down. Lenny said that his father gave him everything that he needed to succeed (mindset, strength, intimidation, etc.), but it is obvious from his story that he did not give Lenny the only important thing that a son needs from his father, and that is unconditional love. Lenny didn't let his father down. His father let him down. I hope Lenny can one day come to see this.

I changed my mind about Lenny after this interview. He seems like a good guy. His dad probably messed him up real good by expecting too much from him. I know the feeling of not meeting your dad’s expectations and hearing as a young man that I was not good enough for him was very painful.

I agree completely, I found myself laughing at him the first few times I watched videos of him but it's hard not to like the guy for being the character that he is. Although I totally see why so many people troll him I feel like he's done a lot more good with his internet presence than he realizes, at least in terms of inspiration and entertaining people whether or not he actually intends to. He might be fucked up but its hard not to feel sympathy for him the more you delve into his history.

Lenny is cool NO JOKE, These old school type of people are getting hard to find, These old school folks have their own opinions & they stick to them, What Lenny is actually refering to when he says COOKIE CUTTER'S is this newer generation & the way they are so passive/inclusive, and that's not a bad way to be but people are easily swayed, Their SHILL'S basically, I don't blame people though, Everything is getting so damn complex nowaday's & things sure are moving fast because of technology, Everything is being Redefined & streamlined, The young folks are trying to RETRO FIT the older generations mentality, so they can be a part of this new internet/social media world.

Message to Big Lenny.....You have to stop living in the past. We all have regrets that still haunt us. You can apologize to your dad in person a hundred times but I'm guessing that he forgave you long ago. You have been and are continuing to do something special. You never gave up. It's all about self betterment and improvement.

Lenny's Dad was an abusive, enmeshing, and controlling piece of shit. Lenny is living with some kind of stockholm syndrome.

"They wouldn't let me go into the Gulf War because I had a discharge." I was struggling to put a timeline together where Lenny would've got the discharge prior to the Gulf War- it now makes sense knowing that Lenny went to the air force prior to graduating high school.
